Hey People. I have been waiting for the first epi of this show since i first saw the promoš So excited its here now. Looks promising. Don't know the actor but he is good. So since i am so excited i am just gonna give the first update for those who will join me here later.
Epi starts with Hinsa.
A girls voice is introducing the village.. Lallanpur is a place filled with violence. Some goons are shown running after a guy and then killing him. Its a place where even kids carry around guns and shoot for fun (reminds me actually of Ishqia and a famous dialogue from it. Anyone else see the resemblence?). Its a place where you have to pay just to breathe. In this place of crime there is a Devta (God) of crime or rather a Devta type person...with whom I am in love (not me.. the girl who is talking š tho I think i could fall for this guy too).
They show an old lady crying out for "Bhaiya ji". She is supporting her daughter who seems to be in bad condition and running towards a haveli. She gets to the door and starts banging, crying for someone to open as she needs to meet with Bhaiya ji. A mysterious figure in the dark inside the haveli is carrying a lantern, she turns and comes to the balcony. The guards at the door look at her and then open the door. The woman and her daughter come inside and look up and seek permission from "Bhou ji" to see Bhaiya ji. The woman says she seeks justice and she has brought whatever she has and shows a small red potli (rather small for a supari of any sort). Suddenly all the lights in the dark haveli come on and we see the woman, with an expressionless face, she tells the guards to take them to Bhaiya ji.
Bhaiya ji is exercising in the dehati style in front of an idol of Hanuman (don't tell me he is a bal bhramachari... gayi bhais paani mein). The woman comes and starts to tell her story when a goon stops her from interrupting Bhaiya ji. He finishes his stuff and does pranam to Hanuman idol. Then turns (full filmi style with background music and effects of a lion roaring). The woman tells him that her daughter has been raped by the goons of "Beta Maharaaj". She shows him the little potli she brought and its full of jewelery. She crys that she is a widow and couldn't do anything to save her daughter. But now the goons have threatened her that they will take her daughter and keep her at the local prostitute house. She crys and asks him to save them. The daughter speaks up and tells Bhaiya ji that even tho she never tied rakhi to him she is still like his sister and he needs to save her. Our Bhaiya ji is all riled up and become angry young man. He reassures them and they leave. Bhaiya ji asks his men whats happening with the new weapon purchase deal. The man tells him that it will come tomorrow morning by 9.
Next morning in another part of Lallanpur
A father son at breakfast table. The son tells his father that Chaurasiya builders had called and told him that Avdesh (Avdesh urf Bhaiya ji) was extorting money from them too. His dad asks him to be quiet and not to talk about serpants and devils in the morning as Avdes is a Satan. He tells the son that it doesn't matter who else is extorting money, but they should get their commission. Son #2 joins the table and their mother comes after doing pooja and offers prasad. The father just puts his hand forward but the mother asks him if he will not wash his hands first. The father just looks at her menacingly and son#2 finds it amusing. He asks his mom why she keeps trying to wash his father's hands and tells her to get a bit more mordern now as she is the wife of a big engineer. He offers to take her to watch an English movie as it will show her how she is so backward with her ghoongat and hand washing. The father tells him to shut up and abuses his wife a bit more as she reminds him that its her father's death anniversary. He basically has no regard for his wife as she didn't bring much dowry and is useless to him. He tells Son#1 that there are some new tenders that he wants him to look at and asks for the newspaper but its missing.
The newspaper is with the girl (narrator, main lead). She is looking at an article on Avdes bhaiya ji where it praises him for beating up Cops who were asking for bribe. She adores him and then cuts out his pic. Her mother knocks on the door and she tries to hide the newspaper. She thinks that she doesn't even have time to burn it and flush the ashes so she crumples it up and throws it out the window. Arpita opens the door and her mother asks her if she has seen the newspaper. She lies and then after her mother leaves she opens her cupboard and behind her clothes is full of pix of Avdesh there is no place to put another one. She then talks to the photo how she is so in love with him precisely because her father is so scared of him. She thinks that her father and brothers are no less than enemies and if anyone can stand against them its Avdes. She then gets upset that she talks to his pictures so many times and wishes to meet him in person and talk to him but he is not even bothered about it. Her mother calls her again and she leaves for college.
Bhaiya ji's goons are waiting for the weapon's to arrive and are playing cards meanwhile. They are pulling each other's leg and Bhaiya ji arrives asking them if its all play and no work. The weapons come in a boat and Bhaiya ji takes a look at one and says that Beta Maharaaj will die with this. He shoots in the air and end of Epi.
