Gossip Girl (Voice Over)

Gossip Girl here, your one and only source to all the scandalous gossip that goes on in the Upper East Side. Oh and for all the fans of our Brooklyn socialites, we also provide ample gossip on Lonely Boy, Little J and V also known as the bohemian Princess.

Now I spy with my little eye, balloons, cakes, decorations galore. What could that possibly mean? Looks like an extravagant party is in store for our favourite group of people! As always on the Upper East Side it's easy to think everything goes off without any glitches. Too bad they always seem to forget about me, and the damage I can do. Sometimes all it takes is one little key to unlock the door of secrets.

"Ms. Blair!" Dorota climbs the grand staircase in the Waldorf Apartment rather quickly.

"What is it Dorota?" A voice answers from deep within the closet.

"Mr. Chuck here to see you."

Silence took over the room and Dorota frowned before taking a hesitant step towards the closet. "Ms. Blair."

"I heard you the first time Dorota." Blair sighs loudly. "Let him up."

"Are you sure Ms. Blair?" Dorota glances between the open door and where Blair seems hidden. "The party is soon."

"Dorota!"

Dorota's eyes went wide before she disappeared from the room. She hurried down the steps and stood in front of Chuck. "Ms. Blair says you may go up."

"Well thank you Dorota," he says in his usual drawl.

He appears at the open door of Blair's bedroom and sees that she's nowhere to be found.

"Blair?" He ventures into the room, one slow step at a time.

"Well if it isn't Mr. Bass."

A grin appeared on his lips as he saw her step out of the closet, dressed in a simple mauve dress.

She smiled, obviously pleased with his reaction. "What do you think of the dress?" She stepped closer to him, their eyes locking on each others.

"Was this your plan? Inviting me over just to entice me?"

Blair smirked. "Of course not Chuck. After all we've got a party to plan."

"Party planning can wait," He whispered.

--------

"Blair! Blair! BLAIR!" Serena yelled as she stepped out of the elevator into the Waldorf's Apartment. Dan had texted her while she was downstairs in the lobby and had told her that they were on their way with the guest of honour.

Serena glanced around the plain apartment; well as plain as it could be for being the Waldorf's apartment. None of the decorations had been put up which either meant something was wrong with Blair or there was only one other explanation. "Chuck," she shuddered at the thought.

"Ms. Serena." Dorota appeared instantly. "Ms. Blair is upstairs with Mr—"

Serena shook her head. "It's okay Dorota. I don't need to know."

Dorota nodded quickly. "Do we start decorating without Ms. Blair?"

Serena's cell phone beeped and she groaned, reading over the message.

"Problem Ms. Serena?" Dorota asked eager to help as always.

Serena waved her hand. "Nothing we can't handle. You get the decorations up and I'll attempt to pry Blair away from Chuck." She muttered as she went up the stairs.

She was surprised to find the door open and both of them on their separate cell phones. She frowned as she walked in and went to Blair. "What's going on B? I assumed...."

Blair raised her eyebrow. "Assumed what? That Chuck and I are like animals? Really Serena..." She shook her head before speaking to the person on the phone again.

"If I had my way," Serena groaned feeling Chucks breath at her neck. "We would be animals. Although I don't know which we'd be."

"Please Chuck, spare me." Serena shuddered. "I don't need the details."

Blair glared at the two of them. "Seriously Chuck. Get it all organized! Let's go!" she snapped her fingers and Chuck rolled his eyes. "And you Serena, what are you doing here? And in those clothes?" she gave her a once over. "Please pick something else out for the party and make sure Dorota and the staff have everything ready."

Serena sighed. "Fine, and oh just to let you know. Dan's on his way."

Blair flipped her phone shut. "Well that ends that."

"What were you doing anyways?" Serena asked with a frown.

"Arranging a surprise for the guest of honour." Blair smirked.

"I hate the look on your face." Serena groaned.

"I think it's quite enticing actually," Chuck added from the side.

"What are the two of you doing anyways?"

Blair gestured for Chuck to keep quiet and so of course he obliged and turned away.

"Blair." Serena said.

Blair smiled. "We're just arranging some things, now you come with me," Blair dragged Serena out of her bedroom and gestured for Chuck to carry on.

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
B's planning a surprise for the infamous guest of honour? This is something I'm sure everyone wants to keep their eyes on.

Nate Archibald stood staunchly in the elevator leading up to the Waldorf Apartment. Ever since Blair had chosen Chuck over him he had tried to steer clear of the two of them. Yet here he was walking straight into her home, after having being called by Chuck.

"You're an ass."

"Talking to yourself, that's not a great sign Nate," A tiny voice said from the corner.

Nate turned around, his bright blue eyes fixating on the petite frame of the girl who stood in the corner. "Hey Jenny, I didn't even see you when I walked in."

Jenny shrugged. "I kinda blend in." She glanced behind at the dark wood paneling that lined the elevator.

Nate smiled seeing her dressed in a bright white sweater dress. "You don't have to make me feel even worse."

"Wasn't trying to,"

"So—party at the Waldorf's huh?"

Jenny rolled her eyes. "I tried so hard to avoid it but Dan convinced me. Besides, I had to design something for the guest of honour."

"Ahh so she'll be wearing a J.Humphrey design." Nate grinned. "Impressive, Jenny. How's everything going with the designing?"

Jenny nodded. "Pretty good actually. I'm balancing school and designing well. Dad's not so happy about it, but we did make a deal."

The elevator dinged then, and the doors opened.

"That's really good for you. I'm glad." Nate gave her a one-sided hug and the two of them heard a cough on the other side of the elevator doors. They both glanced at Chuck who was smirking.

"If you two would like a room, I'm sure Blair would be more than willingly to sacrifice her bedroom."

Nate glared at Chuck and shoved past him. "Save it Chuck."

He pursed his lips and grinned at Jenny who was watching him hesitantly.

"Do you need an invitation?" He asked.

She shook her head and walked past him as well.

"Who invited you?" Blair made a face seeing Jenny walk into the lobby.

Jenny frowned and Nate slid an arm around her waist. "She's with me."

Blair raised an eyebrow. "Fine. Where's Dan?"

"I told you B, he'll be here in 10 minutes." Serena said as she walked down the staircase. "Hey Jenny!" she went to her and they both hugged while she smiled widely at Nate. Her gaze lowered and she saw Nate's arm around Jenny's waist but Nate just shook his head and so Serena didn't mention it.

The 5 of them stood around the lobby watching one another. Each expression was different; annoyed, surprised, and confused.

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
Spotted: Five of the Upper East Siders having a showdown in the classy Waldorf Apartment. This party just keeps getting more and more exciting.

"Where are you taking me Humphrey?" A low voice growled as Dan tugged on her hand.

Dan turned to look at her dressed in dark jeans and a dressy silver top. "You'll see."

"Whenever anyone says that, it makes me even more nervous and besides I feel all weird in Jenny's clothes."

"Don't tell her that. You saw how excited she was to design for you." Dan smiled. "Besides doesn't the place look familiar?"

She cast her brown eyes quickly around the street and looked back at Dan who was smiling at her even wider now. "It's New York City; every single street looks the same Dan."

He laughed. "You sound just like a tourist."

"Hey!" she glared, tugging her hand free. "Do not call me a tourist alright? I know my way around." He stared at her. She rolled her eyes. "In Brooklyn at least,"

"That's 'cause it's my neck of the woods."

She glanced up ahead. "And whose neck of the woods is this?"

Dan groaned. "Are we sure you want to know?"

She nodded. "Obviously."

Dan glanced ahead and sighed. "You'll find out soon enough."

The two of them walked in silence for the remainder of the way till Dan stopped.

"An apartment building Humphrey?" Her eyes flashed. "You brought me here on my birthday?"

"Can you tell whose apartment it is?"

She looked up at it and frowned. "You didn't."

"I did."

"Why would you?" she groaned.

Dan shook his head before leading her inside the building. "You know you want to be here and have a proper birthday."

"This is not a proper birthday." She muttered. "And Jenny told me what happened last time one of 'them' hosted her birthday."

Dan rolled his eyes. "That was ages ago. This is different."

She smiled sarcastically. "You're right Humphrey. That was Serena's doing; this is the devil herself."

"Blair as the devil," Dan chuckled. "You've got to tell her that one."

She nodded as they walked into the elevator. "I will, right before she murders me with her glare."

"You're exaggerating."

"You'll see," she mumbled under her breath.

The elevator opened and they were both greeted with a huge round of applause.

"It's like you won the Nobel Peace Prize." Dan muttered to her as they both smiled and walked into the apartment.

"Bhavna," Chuck stepped forward from the group and took her hand in his. He lowered his mouth for a kiss but she jerked her hand away instantly. "It would've been a pleasure."

Bhavna smiled. "I'm sure it would've been Chuck. Sadly you'll never get to experience it."

Chuck smiled and stepped away from her as the rest of the group minus Blair Waldorf rushed forward to wish her for her birthday.

Finally the crowd dispersed and Bhavna was standing directly in front of Blair. Both of them were smiling at one another while the rest of the group stood waiting for the next moment; each person unaware of the reaction.

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
Now that we've discovered Bhavna (the new exchange student for those of you who tuned in late) is the guest of honor at a Waldorf party; that just leaves us wondering—what could possibly be in store for her here? Our only advice to her is to watch her back...and maybe everything else as well.

"So..."

All the eyes in the room turned to stare at Dan who had chosen to break the awkward silence. Since this was an exclusive Waldorf party the guest list was limited which meant only the elitist of the elite were invited.

Penelope and the other girls from Constance were standing in the far corner; their eyes were wide and each of the four girls had their cell phones out, obviously ready to send any blast they could get to Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
Too bad the so called 'queens' of Constance didn't know that I didn't need their blasts this time. I was already all eyes on the party—with good intentions of course.

"Nice party," Bhavna smiled as she stepped closer.

Blair of course couldn't be left behind and so she stepped closer to Bhavna as well. She shrugged as she spoke. "I wasn't sure it would suit your tastes."

Bhavna smirked but before she could say anything Serena took her arm and led her away from Blair.

"What are you doing? I wanted to talk to her!" Bhavna frowned.

"You too looked like you were about to have a showdown." Serena said in a hushed tone. "I figured on your birthday of all days, it'd be better to steer clear from her."

"If that was true—why is the party being held here?"

Serena sighed. "It was supposed to be at my apartment but my mom and Rufus are having the Art Benefit society dinner there."

Bhavna rolled her eyes as she surveyed the crowd. "This isn't the kind of birthday I wanted."

"You're doing a terrible job at showing your distaste B," Aradhna walked in from the side and grinned.

"Aradhna!" Bhavna turned away from Serena and leapt to give her best friend a hug. "What are you doing here? You said you couldn't come here in time."

"It's called a little white lie B; I couldn't miss your birthday. Not when it was a Blair Waldorf project," Aradhna cracked a smile as she and Serena exchanged a look.

"Wait," Bhavna frowned. "What was with that look? I don't like it."

Aradhna grinned. "All the more reason to use it."

Bhavna sighed dramatically before Nate came up behind her. "That doesn't sound good."

"Hey Nate," She hugged him, hanging on a few seconds too long; just enough to drift off to dreamland.

"Ahem," Serena cleared her throat making Bhavna and Nate part. Their expressions in complete contrast of each other; one was grinning and the other completely embarrassed by her actions.

"Sorry about that," Bhavna muttered under her breath.

Nate shook his head. "No need—it's your birthday, whatever you want." He gave her a wink as he was about to walk away only to be held back by Serena.

"Not so fast Archibald." He raised his eyebrow. "Why did I see you and Jenny holding hands?"

Bhavna gasped. "Really now?"

Nate rolled his eyes at the three girls who were waiting for an explanation. "Blair was ripping into her. I thought it's best to support her."

"Oh of course," Aradhna grinned. "You're such a savior."

"And giving it back to Blair was probably just a part of the package deal?" Serena asked, crossing her arms.

"How'd you guess?" Nate said before he walked away to join Dan.

"Before he and Aradhna interrupted..." Bhavna started. "You were going to tell me why my party is here." She stared at Serena.

"Was I?" Serena grinned. "I don't recall."

"Serena." Blair called right at that moment. Bhavna groaned as Serena shrugged before joining Blair at the bottom of the staircase.

"Does she suspect a thing?" Blair asked in a low voice.

Serena shook her head. "She just keeps wondering why we held the party here."

Blair grinned. "She acts well."

"We taught her well." Serena grinned.

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
This just in: B & S looking overly conspiring at the Waldorf hosted party. All we can hope is that we get more and more fireworks from this night.

"The cake's here." Jenny said as Dorota rolled in a 3-tier cake from the kitchen.

Everyone turned and watched as Blair and Chuck stepped in front of the cake.

"What's going on?" Dan asked.

"Nothing to worry about Humphrey." Chuck said slowly.

Jenny frowned. "Then why are you two blocking her cake?"

"There's a surprise." Blair smiled.

Bhavna glanced at Aradhna who widened her eyes at Bhavna.

"You look scared." Blair noted. "Everything okay?"

"Of course." Bhavna smiled. "Now if you'd like to expand on this little surprise?"

Blair smirked. "With pleasure. I shall be right back." She leaned towards Chuck. "Make sure she doesn't touch the cake yet."

Chuck lowered his lips to her cheek. "Of course.

Blair smiled before disappearing into the kitchen.

"This is insane." Aradhna said. "Why do we have to wait? And Bhavna, what's up with you and Blair?"

Bhavna shook her head and pulled Aradhna closer. "Honestly, I don't know why but she thought it'd be entertaining to act like we hate each other."

Aradhna pulled back from Bhavna and just stared at her. "You find this entertaining?"

Bhavna shrugged. "Blair suggested it. Did I say I wanted to do it?"

"You went along with it."

"Hello." Bhavna's eyes went wide as she felt a cool breath on her neck.

She turned around instantly to see Steven McQueen standing behind her. His brown eyes shone like melted chocolate and she could feel herself getting light-headed.

"What? How?" she mumbled, obviously not being able to say the words she really wanted to.

"She's asking what you're doing here and how?" Blair stepped next to both of them and translated for him.

Bhavna turned to stare at Blair. "This was your idea."

Blair shrugged with a smile. "I had some help." She nodded towards Chuck who bowed his head lightly.

"You guys—seriously." Bhavna gave Blair a hug.

This affectionate gesture was clearly a huge shock to the rest of the guests all of whom watched with wide eyes and mouths wide open.

"Did they just hug—?"

"Blair and Bhavna are friends?"

"Were they faking?"

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
Was that a hug with the two B's? This was something we had never thought we'd see; Blair and Bhavna engaging in an affectionate hug. This definitely added even more suspense to this party. Let's wait and watch to see the next bomb drop.

Blair rolled her eyes at all the little murmurs fluttering around the room. She put an arm around Bhavna's waist and they turned to face the rest of the guests.

"Today is of course a very very special day for Bhavna which is why you've all been invited here tonight. If you all were a bit surprised at the little hug that we just had—well I'm not surprised; half the guests here tonight are a bit weak intellectually. Anyways..." Blair smiled at Bhavna who was trying hard to hide her smile. "I want to wish her a very happy birthday and all the happiness in the world."

The two of them hugged and Bhavna whispered to Blair. "How on earth did you find Steven McQueen and get him here?"

Blair pulled away from the hug and grinned. "Honestly, handling the party decorations and catering was all Serena and I but getting Steven here; you have to thank Chuck for that."

"Really?" Bhavna winced.

"I don't mean like that!" Blair scoffed. "All of you—after my Chuck." She shook her head and grinned at Bhavna.

"Please, I don't think we've all gone that low Blair." Bhavna grinned.

Blair's mouth dropped open. "You did not just say that,"

Bhavna shrugged before making her way to Chuck. "Blair told me."

"Told you what?" Chuck asked.

"That you're the one who got Steven here. Thank you."

Chuck grinned. "As long as it's a surprise that you enjoyed. I don't mind being thanked in anyway." He leaned in closer and Bhavna cringed.

"You are disgusting Chuck Bass." Bhavna laughed.

"I'm Chuck Bass," He smirked, a corner of his mouth hitching upwards.

A little while later Bhavna was standing alone by the staircase, sipping on her drink when someone came and stood next to her. "Need some company?"

She turned slightly to once again see those amazing brown eyes. She smiled and a hint of blush came onto her cheeks. "Hi. I know we didn't get introduced earlier. I'm Bhavna."

"Otherwise known as the birthday girl."

They both laughed. "Sounds too childish to me," She shrugged.

"Sounds good to me." He winked. "Besides in the contract it was clearly stated that I accompany you everywhere."

"You signed a contract?" she raised an eyebrow.

"That was supposed to sound exciting, not so strange." He frowned.

She giggled. "It's okay. I'm just still kind of in awe that you're actually here."

He shrugged. "Chuck's an old family friend."

Bhavna stared at him. "Or did he just use his line on you?"

"Line?" he asked. "I doubt any lines would work on me; especially from guys."

She grinned. "You haven't been in my imagination." She gasped. "I didn't say that. Pretend you didn't hear that. Oh god what am I saying?"

He laughed. "Ssh, you're fine. It's okay. You don't have to say any more if you don't want to."

She shook her head. "Definitely don't want to."

He smiled. "Okay then—off topic."

She smiled back as the two of them talked some more, oblivious to the fact that every eye in the party was narrowed in on the two of them.

"Brilliant idea Chuck." Blair whispered.

He grinned. "It was all you, I just pulled some strings."

The two of them smiled at each other while the rest of the UpperEastSiders stood behind a pillar watching Bhavna and Steven.

"This party had the potential to be a total and utter disaster." Jenny muttered.

"But it wasn't." Serena smiled. "Thank god for that."

"Did you guys know that Blair and Bhavna were just acting like they hated each other?" Aradhna asked. "I found it quite odd."

"So did I," Dan frowned. "She was horrible to me when she saw that we were outside the Waldorf building."

Nate shook his head. "It's Blair Waldorf. Do we ever know what's going on inside her head?"

The rest of them shook their heads.

"But Bhavna. She really surprised us all," Serena pointed out. "Well here's to the birthday girl."

The five of them walked over to where Bhavna and Steven sat, and beckoned for Chuck and Blair to join them. The nine of them took champagne glasses from Dorota and clinked glasses.

Each person in that circle had a smile on their faces, celebrating the turn of a new year for Bhavna who very quickly become a part of their circle.

Gossip Girl (Voice Over)
Sometimes even UpperEastSide parties can be calm and sophisticated. These rare times are when I like to say: be thankful for your friends who've got your back. As for me, I'm happy right where I am... I only want to be with you. XOXO Gossip Girl.

Hope you enjoyed it B 😃

Happy Birthday Aradhna

--------------------------------------------------------------------

His lips were on her neck. Her eyes were closed. Suddenly his lips curled to reveal the bright set of fangs hidden underneath.

Two gasps were heard and another girl reached over and hit the stop key.

"Seriously you two are acting like you've never seen it before." Rubina exclaimed.

Bhavna and Aradhna both turned to glare at Rubina who held the remote in her hand. "Just because we've seen it, doesn't mean we can't relive our emotions." Aradhna said in a frank tone.

Meera yawned loudly and glanced down at her watch. "This is boring." She exchanged a grin with Rubina who obviously agreed with her emotions.

Bhavna shook her head at Meera while Aradhna muttered something under her breath.

"What was that?" Rubina leaned over closer on the sofa where she was sitting with Aradhna.

Aradhna glanced up and glared at her. "I will deal with you later."

Rubina gasped and whimpered. "I'm so scared Radz. Mee come protect me." Then she grinned and rolled her eyes.

Meera let out a laugh and then bit her lip when Aradhna looked at her. "I didn't say anything."

Aradhna groaned before reaching over for her coffee on the table. She raised it to her mouth and took a sip, making a face as she put the tumbler down. "It's cold."

"Let's go on a coffee run!" Bhavna clapped.

Rubina gave her a look before grinning. "I want a frap!"

Meera rolled her eyes. "Such a surprise Rubi really,"

Rubina stuck her tongue out at Meera and turned to Aradhna. "You driving?"

Aradhna grabbed the keys from the table before Meera could reach for them. "Of course."

Meera rolled her eyes. "I don't wanna come."

Bhavna frowned. "Why not?"

"It's cold outside." Meera crossed her arms in an attempt to prove her point.

"You're such a baby." Rubina shook her head.

Aradhna and Bhavna both burst out laughing. "So damn true."

Meera rolled her eyes before taking the empty glasses and walking into the kitchen.

The other three girls looked at each other. "Is she mad?"

"When isn't she?"

"Or she could just be hurt."

Another voice added into the mix. "OR she could be listening to your every word."

"Mee! Didn't anyone tell you not to eavesdrop?" Rubina frowned, annoyed at it.

"It's my apartment. I can listen."

"That's sucky reasoning." Meera rolled her eyes.

Bhavna nodded. "So sad, now let's go! I need coffee."

She grabbed the other two girls and dragged them out the door while Meera watched the door close behind them. Three seconds later her phone began vibrating and she grabbed it. "Hello?"

"What do you want?" Rubina asked.

"What?" Meera frowned.

Rubina sighed loudly. "From Starbucks Mee. What would you like us to bring you?"

"Shouldn't you know by now?" Meera said in an icy tone.

Rubina moved away from the girls. "What is your problem?" she asked in a loud whisper. "You've been acting bitchy all evening."

"I have reasons."

"Uh huh, I'm sure you do." Rubina said with a scowl. "Whatever I don't need to deal with this. Do you want hot or cold?"

"You know which one I get for both?" Meera asked.

"After about 5 years of being your best friend, yeah I'd say I know."

Bhavna and Aradhna watched Rubina talk quietly but angrily into the phone as she walked away from the car. "What's up with them?" Bhavna asked Aradhna.

"I figured you'd know." Aradhna said toying with the keys.

Bhavna shrugged. "With those two do we ever know?"

A laugh came from Rubina's direction and both girls glanced at her. "Obviously not." Aradhna grinned. "Whatever as long as they're okay. I need coffeeeee!" She whistled at Rubina and gestured to the car. She whistled at Rubina and gestured to the car.

Rubina rolled her eyes before coming to the car, sliding her phone into her pocket. "Could you be more addicted?"

Aradhna simply stared at her while Bhavna answered. "Are you seriously asking her that?"

Rubina shook her head before sitting down in the car. The other two quickly followed suit and they were on their way.

Before Aradhna pulled into the nearest Starbucks, only five minutes away Rubina coughed. "Either of you know what hot drink she gets?"

"You don't know?!" Bhavna yelped. "And she hasn't chewed you out yet?"

"First of all B, who says that?" Aradhna stared at her.

"What?" Bhavna frowned.

Aradhna shook her head. "You don't know her order?"

"I'm sorry but you do? Its so frickin long! Mine's so much easier. Grande caramel frap and we're done." Rubina glared at the two girls. "With her it's like a little of that, non-something else. How do you even keep track?!"

Her phone buzzed and she sighed.

Aradhna glanced at Bhavna who sat in the passenger seat next to her. "Come to think of it, I don't know Mee's order either."

Bhavna grimaced. "Something mocha related."

Rubina grinned. "She knew none of us would know. She messaged it."

"Well thank-god for that." Aradhna said as the three of them exited the car.

They walked into the deserted Starbucks and frowned seeing how empty it was. "It's not even midnight, why is it so dull?" Bhavna muttered as they walked in.

Aradhna shrugged. "Are we gonna stay here or go?"

Bhavna shrugged as well. "Whatever. I don't really care." She yawned and she glanced at the lone occupant in the place. "Don't look now but seriously cute guy all the way in the corner." She muttered to both the girls. "And eeks he kinda looks like Jensen Ackles."

"No!" Rubina gasped as she casually turned to glance at him. "Oh B, damn. You could've said he was even hotter."

Aradhna glanced at her friends curiously. "Is that even possible?"

"You haven't seen him yet." Rubina shook her head and fanned herself as she stood in line behind Aradhna.

"Crap I forgot my wallet in the car!" Aradhna groaned. "I'll be right back, you girls order."

"I'll pay," Rubina offered, holding up some cash.

Aradhna waved her off before leaving the Starbucks.

Bhavna unashamedly continued gazing at the mysterious stranger who seemed rather unfazed by the attention.

"B, you're being kinda obvious." Rubina muttered, pulling Bhavna towards her.

"Who cares?" She giggled.

"You're drooling."

"Mh—hmm."

"He's watching."

"Uh huh,"

"It's dripping down your chin making a puddle."

"Ew. What?!" Bhavna glanced down at the floor, furiously dabbing her chin. "You liar."

Rubina smirked. "Love you too,"

Bhavna was too busy getting upset with Rubina who was too busy laughing at the situation that neither one of them noticed their handsome stranger disappear out the door into the parking lot.

"Where is that damn thing?" Aradhna was crouched over in the car trying to look for her wallet, not knowing that the stranger had followed her outside. "I could swear I grabbed it when we left." She rolled her eyes. "Unless I was too giddy about getting coffee and I forgot it." she groaned realizing that meant she also left her license at the house. Any minute now Meera was going to find it and have a meltdown. She shook her head; backing out of the car when she got the feeling she was being watched. She turned around instantly and gasped seeing the stranger from Starbucks leaning against the brick wall watching her. A slow smirk formed on his face. The shadows made him look even more mysterious and alluring.

Aradhna who was never one to be swept away in brash decisions or spontaneous actions, made her way near the door, slowing down near him.

Sadly he didn't say a word to her and she dejectedly went towards the door when finally she heard him speak.

"I saw you and your friends inside."

She stopped dead in her tracks and for a moment her eyes closed, relishing in the sweet moment that he had actually spoken to her and HAD noticed her.

She turned around slowly. "Talking to me?"

"See anyone else around?" he smirked.

She smiled back, a tad goofily at her obvious question. "Why are you standing out here?"

He shrugged, his leather jacket shimmering the dim streetlights. "I had an impulsive urge."

She raised her eyebrow. "Is that so? An urge for what? Talking to random girls in the middle of the night at a coffee shop?"

He let out a soft chuckle and she grinned at the sound. "You don't seem very random to me."

"What's your definition of random?" She questioned, surprised at her forwardness. She cheered in the fact that for a second now he looked caught off guard.

"I—uhh, well it depends."

"On?" She grinned.

He leaned slightly towards her. Her heartbeat started racing and her mind was throwing all sorts of warnings at her about strangers but her heart ignored each one.

"Depends on certain things,"

"Like?" She asked.

He leaned back to the wall and gave her an once-over. "The way she's dressed."

"Did you just check me out?" She couldn't stop the smile growing on her face.

"I don't see you objecting." He grinned.

"I have no reason to object," She shrugged.

His smirk became more prominent. "Oh really? And how's that?"

She shrugged. "You can't keep all the mysteriousness to yourself na?"

He chuckled softly. "Course not."

"So," she smiled. "Tell me why you're following me?"

"Following you? Is that what I'm doing?"

She leaned back and gestured to the coffee cup in his hand. "You were inside the Starbucks and I walked out and now you're out here. Any indication?"

He grinned. "Nice observation."

She nodded. "I know. So answer the question."

"We're being watched." He said cryptically.

She widened her eyes and glanced behind at the huge Starbucks window. Unsurprised she turned back to him. "I would've been surprised if they weren't watching."

He laughed. "Won't you introduce me?"

She shook her head. "The one who looks like she'll faint or worse drool; is Bhavna. The one who looks positively annoyed with B's behaviour is Rubina, or Rinki. Actually just Rinki, you don't want to call her Rubina and die. I'm babbling aren't I?" She groaned softly.

He waved to both the girls. "It's cute,"

Aradhna grinned at him. "You're a bit strange, thought you oughta know."

He smirked. "Tell me something I don't know."

She raised an eyebrow. "How about you tell me something I don't know. Like your name perhaps?"

He smiled. "Knowing each others' names would imply you want this meeting to be continued. Are you sure that's what you want?"

She grinned. "I'll take my chances."

He shook his head. "We need to keep the element of surprise alive."

"And how do you suggest we do that?"

"Keeping our identities a secret." He whispered in a low voice.

She involuntarily blushed and he lightly brushed his finger across her cheek.

"Give me your phone." He said softly.

She quickly surrendered her phone to him and watched as he pressed a few buttons before it beeped. He handed it back to her and smiled. "I'm under mystery b and you're saved in mine as mystery g."

She laughed at the names as she scrolled through her contacts. "This is crazy. You're crazy."

"Well would you like to go out with this crazy guy?"

She bit her lip, contemplating her answer. "I'd love to."

Her eyes darted towards her still-watching friends. "I should go back inside."

He leaned down and lightly kissed her cheek. "Happy Birthday."

His kiss left her skin feeling tingly as she walked back into the Starbucks.

Bhavna and Rubina watched as Aradhna made her way to their little table. They both raised their drinks and took sips while she sat down, her phone and wallet clutched in her hands.

"So..." Rubina began.

Bhavna put her cup down. "So...you gonna tell us who he was?"

Aradhna grinned. "I wish I knew B."

Bhavna and Rubina exchanged a look. "You don't know who he was?"

Rubina groaned. "You were with some stranger at night for nearly 10 minutes and you don't know him? Meera's going to freak."

"Forget her," Bhavna frowned. "I'm freaking out! What the hell Aradhna? I know he was cute—"

"He was wasn't he?" Aradhna interrupted.

Bhavna leaned towards Rubina. "I never thought I'd see her this way."

"All giddy?" Rubina shook her head. "It's pitiful."

That seemed to snap Aradhna out of whatever world she was in. "Oh shut up, as if you don't get that way around Farid and you B, you're always like that." Rubina and Bhavna glared at Aradhna and stood up promptly. "Where are the two of you going?"

"We're going to wait in the car for you to take us home." Bhavna said. "Or better yet," she grabbed the keys sitting on the table. "I'm driving us home. Let's go."

Aradhna groaned as she grabbed her coffee and followed her apparently annoyed friends to the car. As she slid into the backseat, a thought crossed her mind. She quickly pulled out her iPhone and messaged a certain someone.

How'd you know it was my birthday?

He had wished her a happy birthday when he didn't even know her name and that baffled her. She anxiously awaited his reply, trying to distract herself criticizing the way Bhavna drove.

"Careful B! You're gonna hit the tree."

"There. Is. No. One. On. The. Road!" Bhavna muttered.

Her phone pinged then and she completely became oblivious to the looks exchanged between Bhavna and Rubina.

Wild guess :p

They arrived home before she had a chance to reply and so she figured it was best for her to reply later when she was all alone.

They three of them opened the door and Meera all but pounced on them. "Where's my coffee?"

The three girls eyes went wide and they glanced at one another hoping that one of them had at least remembered.

Meera seemed to realize this quickly. "You didn't remember did you? None of you." She nodded. "It's okay. It's cool." She turned away and walked into the living room, snuggling up with the fleecy blanket. The other three quickly followed her and sat down near her.

"It's because of Radz." B said.

"What?" Aradhna frowned. "How?"

Rubina shrugged. "She met this guy and we totally got distracted and annoyed with her."

Meera frowned. "Let me get this straight, you forgot my coffee because of some guy?"

The three of her friends shrugged. "Oops?"

Meera rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up! Tell me what he was like!" Bhavna and Rubina quickly started dishing out details of the mysterious stranger while Aradhna quickly pulled out her phone and saw a new message waiting for her.

I saw a text when I was saving my number that said Happy Birthday. Figured I should wish you even though I'm your mysterious stranger.

She grinned at his message. Her birthday wish came true without her even trying to fulfill it. She wanted something unusual to happen and it did. She met a mysterious stranger. A stranger who was obviously very intriguing but she also spent the day with her friends. Friends that made everything a bit more amusing than it actually was. She smiled at her three friends sitting closely together on the couch and without a word she sat down next to them and they sat together watching some pointless show on tv, all the while making fun of whatever it was. This was friendship and this was one of the birthday's she'd remember a long time coming. Her stranger made sure of that.
