This new track is reminding me of another show I used to watch. Raja ki aayegi baraat on Star Plus had a similar story with a Badi Ranima who is the mother of the lead and sister to Choti Ranima who only pretended to love her sister and nephew/step-son. She was also the reason for Badi Ranima's illness. Of course, AKNV isn't copying RKAB exactly but it is very similar.

For once I want to applaud Reva. She didn't keep contemplating on what to do with the old lady but brought her out and took charge of the whole situation before someone can scare her off. 👏 But that is probably because AKNV is running out of time and the creatives have to move the story quickly. At least it will give Yash loads of happiness to find out that is his mother, even if that won't last long as the truth behind the whole thing is sure to make Ranima (Aryamom) come off as the bad one and Yash loves her.
