Passions lost with BP's loss

I saw the last 5 minutes of the episode about 2 months back while I was browsing channels. I stopped cause I kinda though that the main character "Sharad" looked familiar. I am not a big serial fan and I remember seeing him in once or twice. (that was saath phere). So I stopped for a moment admiring him - cause he looks best in this one. Then the story line was about amoli's pregnancy scam... I loved DV - and lo and behold, I was hooked.

So I went and checked out a few back episodes. I could get the gist of the story and thought this was a great story, what screenplay and lovely character development...etc. etc. but it was the depth of Takhur DigVijay that kept me going back for more. A man who could feel every emotion with so much depth. Anger, possession, lust, passion, love.... A man who follows his obsession ignoring everyone and everything else cause he has no other choice....A man who knew how to take but not how to give and when he realizes what it is to give, gives with full passion.... Sharad has done a wonderful job.

And Amoli... a woman who would fight for what she thinks is right what ever be the result... but like all other women - only seeing the obvious... seeing what they want to see... A typical Indian woman who believes that opening her heart to an other man is not right especially since her husband died at his hands. But a woman who does love her enemy and trying hard to fight that love. Lying to herself...fighting with herself.... superb.

Then the crazy powers-that-be ended the serial... how stupid was that...

There is only one other series that I have watched repeatedly over and over agian...La femme nikita... somehow DV reminds me of michael in that series... A man who from complete disassociation goes towards absolute involvement. A man who goes from someone who cares for nothing to someone who can kill or die for the sake of the woman he loves. A man who can lie, cheat, destroy and be destroyed for the woman he loves.

So from all the above you know how hooked I am....so I am happy to add my voice for BP-2. I am hoping for a revival of the series so that every evening, for just half an hour, I am assured that Passion in this world is not lost.

Every time I switch on the TV, I am faced with all these perfect men and women, who stand for righteousness in its every sense..and I am bored. Then while casually switching channels, I come across this great series that caught my attention and kept it rooted on this virtually unknown channel call colors. So imagine my surprise when the show goes off air'.

No more smiles from Digvijay or shy looks from Amoli and no more starry eyed starring at the screen just to watch a few passionate moments between the two. But more than that, I am upset with colors for taking away my half hour of vicarious living through DV and Amoli's story.
