The flat was quiet as he closed the door behind him, a soft light came from the kitchen, there were no other signs of life. There was a note on the kitchen table, telling him that his dinner was in the oven, and they'd see him in the morning. Armaan sighed, running his hands through his hair. It was the third night in a row that his hospital duties had kept him away from home till a reasonable hour.
While he loved his job, and enjoyed going to it immensely, his life was suffering as a result of it. Seeing his little daughter for a short thirty minutes a day, it was hardly fair, to either of them. Shona(baby) didn't complain, all that much. She chose her words carefully, and left him to fill in the blanks. He had to change something, or else things would change, and it wouldn't be good. Armaan opened and shut the bedroom door without making a sound, not wanting to wake Shona who he could see fast asleep in the bed. He slipped off his robes, and slid under the covers next to her. Putting an arm around her, spooning against her, he closed his eyes and breathed in her shampoo. She shifted against him, opening her eyes, she looked at him in the dim light. "Hey," Armaan whispered. "Hi." Furrowing his head into her hair, "sorry I'm late. Again." "You can't help it," she sighed. "Yes I can, I'm taking the rest of the week off. I've missed you, and my baby girl." Shilpa said nothing to this, moving closer into his arms. "What's wrong?" "Nothing," he whispered......"i missed my family"

Shilpa:"I missed you too, it'll be nice to have you to ourselves."
Armaan leaned down, and kissed her forehead, "I'm yours. All yours."
