The best and the rest

Who is this year's Jodi No 1 on the small screen? Monica and Vikram of Saara Aakash or Kumkum and Sumeet of Kumkum — Pyara Sa Bandhan? Or the baddie you love to hate, Abhay Chauhan of Kumkum?

Here's your chance to choose your favourite characters from among the several who flash on your screen every night. From icons like Tulsi and Parvati, to the vitriolic Manju and Mohini.

In its third year, the Star Parivaar awards bring to life the concept of a perfect parivaar on screen. The award goes to the character that is being portrayed and not to the individual actor.

Deepak Segal of Star India says, "Television actors today have become household names and have huge fan followings. Some of these have grown on the viewers and they have a major influence on them.

Almost every character has become a part of every parivaar in India. These awards provide a platform for viewers to vote for their favourite characters."

The awards include Favourite Dada-Dadi, Beta-Beti, Pita-Maa, and even a Devrani-Jethani!

The nomination specials will be aired on Star Plus on May 14 and 15. The Jodi No 1 on May 21, Kuch Lamhe on May 28, the red carpet on June 3, and the grand finale on June 4. The post-awards event will air on June 10.
