As a flash of all those years that she spent with Maan go through Sameera's mind that night, she just cant sleep. She wonders why.
Sam: yeh mere saath kya ho raha hai ... oh god .. i cant do this with myself ...
Sameera tujhe pata hai, ke tune iss relationship ko khatam kyun kiya tha ... you were sure M was not the right guy for you.. and you were happy also... toh ab kya ho raha hai tujhe ... you cant be jealous of Geet ... i mean look at her, she is not even a close match..
Does Maan still love me? NT ke baathon se toh yehi lag raha tha ... ke Maan mujhe bhula nahi paya hai .. after all.. main uska pehla pyar thi ....
She decides she would go and talk to Maan about this straight after a restless night of sleep.
Thats why when she lands up at the Khurana house early next morning, Geet is surprised to find her there. She now finds it odd that someone from Maan's past is coming here time and again. She decides to talk to Maan about it and tell him, she thinks something is not right.
When she is in the kitchen, Sameera comes to talk to Geet...
Sam: hey Geet ... !
Geet smiles... " aap yahan???"
Sam: oh well... ek waqt pe main yahan din bhar raha karti thi ... it was like my own home you know ...
Gee cutting vegetables as well as making juice for Maan..... " toh fir aap yahan se chali kyun gayi .....
Sam: well... uss waqt mujhe wahi sahi laga ... mujhe nahi lagta tha .. ke Maan mere liye sahi hai ....
Geet: main sir ko yeh deke aati hoon ... unka work out khatam ho gaya hoga! excuse me ... aap hall main baithiye ...
Sam: yeh Maan ko abhi tak sir bulati hai ? whats the deal with this woman... ( a thought suddenly springs up in her head, leaving her in a dilemma, what if Maan and Geet actually werent as close as they made themselves out to be...)
She decides to follow Geet ...
Maan has just finished working out, he is all sweaty and topless. He hear's the sound of the payals from a distance and a smile appears on his face. He knew Geet was on her way. Maan decides to hide. As Geet comes into the quadrangle, she is surprised to see Maan isnt around. She calls out his name ...
Geet: Maan sir ...
There is no response ... Maan looks at her from the side and a naughty smiles comes onto her face as he says from a distance ... " Geet main yahan hoon" ... Geet walks in the direction from where she heard the voice, he now says from else where ... "arey wahan nahi Geet ... main toh yahan hoon .... He continues this once or twice more ...
Geet finally gives up and goes and stands in the middle of the quad ... saying ... " mujhe nahi dhoondna aapko.... aapko aana hai .. toh aap aao ..."
She makes baby like facing as though, she is miffed at not being able to locate him when she feels two hands envelop her from behind... the sweat beads on his forehead and in his hair trickle down onto her shoulder. she quivers. As he burys his face into her smooth silky hair, she is embarrased, and she moves away and says .... " main towel laati hoon"
As she walk forward, he says ... "uski koi zaroorat nahi hai ...."
He traces his fingers slowly along her soft arms, and slides it down to her fingers... she thinks, he will hold her hand, but instead, he holds the edge of her dupatta, and slowly holding her hand makes her wipe his face with it ....She is totally lost in his eyes ... as he comes close to kissing her... she is also so into the moment, that she would perhaps give in any moment now ... he lets go of the grip on her hand so smartly that she doesnt realise this herself... she caresses his face softly ... and then there are foot steps ...she gets scared... but the determined look on Maan's face tells her he is not letting her go anywhere ...as the foot steps draw closer she takes in a gulp and says .... " please Maan sir ... mujhe jaane dee jiye ...."
He looks into her eyes with the same intensity ... smiles slightly and says .... " Jao Geet ... maine tumhe kahan pakda hai ..." ( i love this line so much ... that i had to use it .. esp the way Maan sayys
It is at this moment that she realises ... he isnt even holding her....
There at a distance, she see's a figure standing and she recognizes her to be Sameera ....as she moves away from Maan. and straightens her dupatta. She goes away from there as Sameera walks towards Maan...
She looks at his chiseled and well worked out body and she feels instantly drawn to him. She cant stop herself from saying .... " i must admit ... you have become hot M"
Maan: tum abhi tak gayi nahi?
Sam: itni jaldi kya hai mujhe bhaganeki ? lagta hai mere yahan hone se, tum disturb ho rahey ho ...
Maan(wearing his shirt...) tumhe yahan jab tak rehna hai raho ...mujhe issey koi farak nahi padtaa.... accha i am getting late ... office main aaj zaroori meeting hai ...
Sam: mujhe yahan kyun bulaya M
Maan: kyunki maine tumse waada kia tha .... Have a nice day Sam ...
He walks off from there as Sameera recollects what she witnessed between Maan and Geet .. her heart still isnt ready to accept that he could have moved on. Ab sirf ek hi jagah bachi hai ... jahan se mujhe yeh pata lag sakta hai .. ke kya sach hai .. aur kya nahi ... she turns to leave ....
However, as she reaches the room, she surprised, not to find the room at all as she crosses it and doesnt realise it is the kids room. Next to the room there is another room that some workers are renovating. She walks in to see carpenters, painters, working on it. it doesnt take her too long to guess that could be the room in which Maan and Geet would be living in after they got married. and now this thought really pisses her off....
She takes the next car and drives out. The next thing you know, she is at Khurana Constructions. Maan is busy addressing a meeting. She asks Pinky to pass on a message. Maan does respond. Pinky doesnt let her go inside .
Pinky: I am sorry maam, par ... kisi ko andar jaane ki permission nahi hai ....
Sam: unhey kaho ... urgent hai ....
Pinky tries to call Maan again ... Maan says ... "unhe kaho, mere cabin main baithey .... main aunga ...."
Finally after about an hour or so, when its time for lunch break, Maan finally steps into his cabin... he is talking to Geet on the phone ....
Maan: haan, main bas ghar aa hi raha tha Geet ....
Sameera is sitting there , she has an angry look on her face.
Maan: bolo Sameera, main meeting main tha...
sam: itne busy they, ke purane doston ke liye waqt bhi nahi nikaal paye ...
Maan: Sameera, kaam kaam hota hai, aur unhe jitna personal equations se door rakha jaye, utna behtar hota hai ...
Sam: chalo good to see somethings about you havent changed M ....
Maan: Kaam bolo Sameera... mujhe ghar ke liye nikalna hai ... fir meeting resume bhi toh karni hai ....
Sam: call me Sam na M ...pehle ki tarah ... Sameera sounds so distant ....
Maan: well, you are distant now ....
Sam: (hurt) I am sorry M ... mujhe kabhi tumhe maafi maangne ka mauka ....
Maan; ab mujhe iss cheez se koi farak nahi padta ....
Sam: kyun nahi padta ? ( she demands)
Maan: kyunki ... main zindagi main bahut aage badh chuka hoon Geet- I mean Sameera ( correcting the slip of tongue)
Sam: Dekha ... dil ki baat zubaan pe aa gayi ...
Maan: excuse me ...
sameera comes forward and hugs Maan ....
Sam: I still love you M ... aur shayad tum bhi ....
Maan pushes Sam gently away and says ... " yeh tum kya kar rahi ho Sameera ...."
Sam: come on M ... main tumhara pehla pyar thi ... tum mujhe kaise bhool sakte ho ....
Maan: tum pagal ho gayi ho kya ? kaisi behki behki baatien kar rahi ho ... aur yeh mat bhulo ke tum shaadi shuda ho ....
Sam: nahi M ... meri shaadi nahi hui ....
Maan: kya ? haan ... maine tumhe jhoot bola ... uss waqt main akele kuch waqt chahti thi ... bina koi bandish... bina koi committment ke ... issi liye maine tumse jhoot bola ...
Maan is shocked .... " oh ... ek aur jhoot .... why am i not surprised??? "
Sam: M .. main apni galti maanti hoon ... aur main yeh bhi jaanti hoon ... ke tum mujhe maaf kar doge ....
Maan: Haan ... main tumhari galti ko maaf kardoonga sameera ... kuunki ... tumhari iss galti se ab mujhe koi farak nahi padhta ... balke, mujhe tumhe thank you kehna chahiye ... agar tum mere zindagi se nahi jaati toh main kabhi Geet se nahi milta .....
Sam: Baar baar ... uss secretary ka naam kyun lete ho tum ? main nahi jalne waali in sab cheezon se .... M tum bahut bhole ho ... yeh toh kitne purane tarqeeb hai ...
Maan: dekho Sameera ( warning her) tum mere office main khadi ho ... issi liye main tumhe sharafat se samjha raha hoon ... yeh saari baatien nikaal do .....
He walks out of the office ... as Sameera gets almost paranoid and says .... " main jaanti hoon M ... tum bas mujhse naraaz ho ... main tumhe manake rahoongi ..."
