Intially Dadi was all gung-ho about Prats getting married to Nitin. Called him achcha ladka, and praised Prats as a samajdari, sanskaari, girl who will make inlaws proud, blah, blah blah.

Once Krishna came to the engagement and created notanki she called him a loafer and asked Prats to say something.

Once the engagement was over, Dadi came up with the theory that Jagmohans will use this incident at the engagement for the rest of their lives and one small mistake from Prats they will make Shamu pay for it in money/stuff for the rest of his life and they would never ever hear the end of it. Shamu tried to tell her Nitin's family is not like that. But Dadi said what do I know you are the smart ones. But mark my words that's what they will do and you will have no peace. Nainaji and I think Prats too are bothered by her words.
