Chapter I

we walked around Mumbai, he took me to every place he loves to go to.. it was fun watching him all excited about the next one he'd take me to. the rain stopped, and the air dried us, never had to experience such thing were your clothes just stick to your body. we were walking in a street that i didnt even know what's the name of it when he asked

"so, where do you like to go to?" he was grinning

i giggled, he doesnt know yet "we dont go out much like you do"

"really?"

"yeah, my parents were very protective of me" i paused, he waited for me to finish "my father was like that, and mom now.. is like him.. no going out.. no hanging out with friends.. who left me after a while" i looked down "i only have Ela.. she got used to the big NO that mom gives to every request of having fun"

"they never took you out?"

"they did" i smiled "dad would take us to the beach.. its been a while since ive been there"

"you want to go?" he sounded excited again

"no.. please no" i looked at him scared, i'd have another drama show if i went to the beach

"dont worry, we wont" he smiled putting his arm around me, i sighed "what's the one place that you want to go to so badly but never did?"

"you'd take me to it?"

"right now"

i smiled, we were still walking "your work place" he stopped and looked at me confused, its true.. since ive been watching him for the past 2 years, i wanted to know where he goes to, what he does, the people he works with

"you want to go to my company?" he still had this suspicious look

"yeah, i want to see where you work"

"it's the place you want to go to?"

"haan" i grinned

"but.. why?"

"aise" i shrugged, blushing

"achcha?"

"arent you going take me to it now?" i sighed

"ye.. ok" he grabbed his mobile and dialed a number "Abbas, ye.. please come to.." he told him the street's name, i figured Abbas is his driver "lets sit" he pointed at cement kinda thingy to sit on "im sorry im shocked to know you want to go to my place of work.." he giggled looking at me

"why? i'd love to see where you work"

"yea but.. it cant be the only place you want to see"

"it is" i smiled at him

he looked at me for a while "there is a reason behind this isnt there?"

"no" i lied

he smiled "you know Geet? when you hide something.. or lie about something, your left eyebrow
just.. go up" i almost gasped, how can he know?! i looked away "you are hiding something arent you?" i shook my head as no "lets test you then"

i looked at him confused "test me?" the way he got closer to me, my heart started beating fast already.. i think i know what test he is talking about "oh" i said

he smiled, his face only an inch away if not closer, he kissed my jaw so softly, holding my hands, he wasnt planning on kissing me at all.. he is just making me dizzy with his kisses.. "so.." he whispered kissing my cheek "what's the real reason?"

"im not that weak to tell you" i whispered in his ear

he giggled softly then kissed my lips, when he knew i wasnt even responding, it was HARD not to kiss him back, but i didnt want him to know the reason about why i want to see his work place and maybe run away from me, he sighed "fine" he looked at the road "lets go" he got up walking towards his car that was black BMW, he looked back at me "you did get weak though" he said opening the door for me

"ye, that's why you know the reason" i teased him, he looked away smiling, i giggled and got inside his car.. i felt like im in the president's car.. its so luxurious

"take us to the company please" Maan sounded so polite as he asked the driver

"ji" the driver nodded and started to drive

"what's it called?" i asked looking at him

"Khurana Telecome Company6" he smiled at me

"oh, that's cool! my line is from them.." he giggled "how's the work there?"

"tiring.." he sighed "it became big now.. internationally and all" he said indifferently "makes me want to sell it" he giggled looking outside the window

i blinked at him "excuse me?"

he looked at me "what?"

"sell it?" i was still blinking at him confused

his eyebrows were up i think he was trying not to laugh kinda, there was a smirk on his face "aise nahi Geet.. i was joking"

i sighed "for one second, i thought you own the whole thing!" i giggled

Maan was silent then he started laughing, i looked at him confused "Geet, didn't you hear me say "my company"? hence my name, Maan Singh Khurana!"

i gasped "WHAT?! YOU own Khurana Telecome COMPANY!?" i was shocked

"yes" he blinked at me "i thought you paid attention" he laughed at my stupidity! how didnt i link those names together?!

"WOW" i giggled "that is just wow" i cant believe he owns the company.. that means im one of his
customers.. and that also means that he is rich, then why does he have to take the bus to go to work? it looks like its way far from the bus stop that is in front of our building

"here it is" he smiled getting out, i looked at the building, a HUGE sign was written on it, Khurana "lets go" he walked inside the building and at the reception desk were two guards who immediately got up and greeted Maan "please i need electricity back on floor 13"

i looked at Maan "there is no electricity?"

"its Sunday, the day off for the company"

"oh" i forgot that it's Sunday, stupid Geet

we got inside the elevator and he pressed number 13, when the elevator opened, i almost gasped.. it wasnt an office like i thought it would be, it didnt have a reception desk like the one downstairs no, it was an apartment.. i looked at Maan, demanding an explanation "this is.. mine"

"you live here?"

"partly" he smiled "i work late so, i come here and have my break.."

i looked around, it was huge.. the living room was breathtaking, then i looked at an open door that had a bed in it.. i dont know why i shivered, i folded my arms to my chest "its.. beautiful" i said not looking at him

"bad idea?" i nodded "im sorry" he sighed "let me show you the rest of the company"

before the elevator door opens to a floor, the electricity would be on before, we walked in each floor.. he explained lots of things to me.. how it works? how he hates firing someone.. how he loves giving sudden rounds in the company. then we had to leave, we got inside the car and there were tons of questions i wanted to ask, once the car started i looked at Maan "why do you take the bus if you have a car and driver?"

he smiled smugly "its a secret that i cant tell you about"

my jaw dropped, i was getting angry "unfair" i looked outside the window

"its ok for you to have secrets but not me?"

"ah.. i just wanna go home now" i folded my arms around my chest, i HAVE a reason WHY i cant tell him!! what's his!?

"fine, Abbas stop the car at where you took us from" Maan sounded annoyed and i didnt care much, when the car stopped, i opened the door and slammed it behind me and started walking "where are you going?"

"home!" i was walking pretty fast

"can you at least slow down?" i stopped and he stood beside me "thank you!" we started walking in this weird alley between houses, it was getting dark.. and no one was around "are you seriously angry with me?"

"yes"

"you are impossible"

i stopped and looked at him "why is that? you're hiding something from me! i want to know"

"oh, isnt that the same way with you? you think curiosity wasnt killing me the way it is killing you now"

"you KNOW already, i saw it in your eyes" i paused, what did i just say?

"and you know too!" he shouted, i looked away "fine" he said "my secret is.." he paused, i still didnt look at him "i take the bus to be able to see you" my heart stopped.. i slowly looked at him, my eyes were forming tears "tell me yours"

"i've been watching you for two years.." i whispered

"i know" he smiled but his smile faded when my tears fell on my cheeks "Geet" he put his hands on my cheeks then kissed my tears "i wake up at 7:30 to be able to.. walk by.. take a glimpse of you and take the bus that would then drop me 10 minutes away from work" he smiled "Abbas would wait there.. and after work, somehow" he looked down as if remembering something "the first day i saw you, it was 4 pm.. and the next day.. 4 pm as well.. so you probably thought i come out of work at 4" i nodded "well.. i only come at 4 to see you again" he whispered

i bit my lip not wanting to cry "you.." my voice was shaky, i had to swallow hard that big lump to be able to speak, "i never.. knew.." but then.. my emotions took over and i started crying

he put his arms around me and hugged me tightly "please stop crying"

"i never knew you knew about me" i finally said sniffing, looked at his eyes, he still had his hands on my face

"why do you think i told you that i love you the first day we met? i thought you knew"

i shook my head "i was trying hard to hide my real feelings, i panicked because you told me what i wanted to tell you for so long.. that i love you and .."

Maan put his finger on my lips "say it again"

i slowly smiled looking at him "i love you"

he leaned closer to me and kissed my lips so powerfully, so passionately.. he started walking, until my back hit the house wall, he put his hands on my waist, lifted me up to match his height.. never leaving my lips, then he slowly moved back, his eyes were moister, still had his arms around my waist, i still was matching his height "you have no idea how long i've waited for you to say those words" he kissed me again "you have no idea how much i love you Geet" he whispered

i bit my lip looking at him, my tears already on my cheeks.. this is so overwhelming, the way he reacted to what i said left me speechless, i put my arms around his neck and we hugged tightly "you have no idea how long ive waited for you to just look at me" i whispered

"marry me" he whispered in my ear.

PRECAP
.. i love Maan and they should just approve of this marriage whether they liked it or not, with that thought, i got up and walked towards the living room, i looked at mom and Amit sitting together, talking when i interrupted them by clearing my throat, they both looked at me "i'm getting married to Maan Singh Khurana" i said firmly.
