What Makes Sanchi Better Than Tara?

Hey guys,
So I know most (if not all) of you think Sanchi is better for Shravan, and a better person in general also. Therefore, I wanted to know why? Is it because she is self-sacrificing and Tara is more modern and independent/self centred? Or is there something else?

I personally feel that people like Sanchi better because she's giving up a lot to make Shravan happy and her family happy, and that in turn makes her a "better" woman. However, I feel that we shouldn't automatically assume or make Tara less of a good person simply because she isn't as traditional and self sacrificing as Sanchi. I do not see anything wrong with her wanting to focus on her studies first and then think about marriage. Why does that make her selfish? I simply think her priorities lie somewhere else. Which just makes her different than Sanchi, but not any less than her.

Anyways, I'm not here to defend Tara or bash Sanchi, because I personally like them both for different reasons. I was just wondering what makes you guys like Sanchi better, and if you like Tara (aka ⭐️ lol) better, what's the reason? 😊

Honestly, I'm more like Tara than Sanchi
When Tara was explaining that she has to complete her studies because her father expects a lot out of her, it struck a chord with me.
My parents have done so much for me, sacrified so much, just so I can be the strong, independant person I am today. I wouldn't give up all of that just because some guy came along.
And really, Tara didn't ask for a very ridiculous amount of time.
In hindi soaps, weddings may happen within days, but in real life, marriages happen after many months, or ever a year.
And feelings of love need to be given time and nurtured. It's not easy to say 'I love You' to someone. Sanchi struggled so much. You have to be sure about it
Tara's priority at the time, was her studies. Idk about you guys, but if I've spent so much time and money on education, I wouldn't just fail my exams so that I can work though my feelings abd think about a guy
But Tara, once her exams were over, managed wo work through her feelings and respond to Sharavan. It didn't take her a ridiculous amount of time. Just a couple of weeks.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the Shravan-Sanchi jodi, but unnecessarily hating on Tara annoys me.
I personally wont hate her untill she actually does something wrong.

Yes, I totally agree with you. Tara hasn't done anything wrong, and I really don't want them to turn her into some sort of a villain (it really bothered my when Dadi called Tara a dayan). She automatically assumed that it was Tara who must be the wrong one, which is a very biased way of thinking.

Great post and very worthy topic...👏.
Tara and Sanchi are two different animals all together.....Saanchi was brought up with one goal in mind....to be married. The initial few episodes showed that it didn't necessarily have to be a good boy/family too, as long as they picked her as their bahu.....all she has ever done has been in preparation for this end goal.....to that extent, her total devotion to her husband and in-laws is understandable. She will always put herself second to all the other family members, out of a sense of loyalty and self-sacrifice that she has been taught, is the duty of 'bharatiya naari"
Tara, on the other hand, has been brought up by her father to be independent....and the surest way to independence is good education and a career.....she has been taught to think of her interests, to safeguard and further them, and if that means saying 'maybe, some time later' to Shravan, then so be it.
One is not necessarily better than the other, just that the two are polar opposites.

Thank you 😊
That's true. Both have very different personalities and upbringings, therefore what is right and wrong is different to them.

I wouldn't say Sanchi is better than Tara. Both are brought up in different environment and that reflects in their personality. I agree with the other members that it irresponsible on our part to hate Tara just because she asked for some time to think about her feelings for Shravan. To me they are same, both are good at what they wanted out of life. Sanchi wanted to be good wife, and daughter-in-law and Tara wants to be a doctor. They are both achieving their goals.

I think Tara had some attitude at times. Like when Shravan proposed, Tara may have had right reasons to say no, BUT, her tone and attitude in shooting down Shravan were not nice, It;'s almost like she was display herself as high and mighty when she told Shravan to go ahead with the engagement or breat it up, she gives two hoots about it.

Then in few weeks, she decides she wants Shravan and expected he would come running like a puppy. Its always about her with no regard to anyone else's feelings. This is where Sanchi beats her as Sanchi is more caring and loving towards people

The problem is that soon Taara will be shown in a bad light and vampish way.
I do not like her because she should have understood Shravans situation and give a better response to his offer of love and marriage, .
Love happens, you do not fall in love after "bahut socha" . So it is ridiculous of her to fallin love just after the exam, It is too convenient timing to be natural. You can plan a wedding like that but you cannot plan to fallin love,
Her pursuing her study is good. If Sanchi were given an opportunty to study medicine, she would have done much better as she seems to be more intelligent than Taara.
Let us see what happens next. If she were a normal girl, she would leave Shravan alone. But she is the vamp of the serial so she will play the tug of war with sanchi,
I can assure that with her temper and impatience she would never be a good doctor, She will scream at her patients 😆
One more thing - her father being pleased with Shravan because he fought with his own parents was very selfish and mean.. So a daughter brought up by such a father would not have proper values instilled in her .
I also do not want Tara to be shown negatively.

comparing tara and sanchi is like comparing night and day
these two are very different

in the point of view of serial obviously sanci is the better one but in real life i think these two will be equivalent .........having a career and giving it importance is a virtue of todays generation
and family is always important so sanchi is also very right

Thanks for all your opinions! 😊
I agree with everyone, in the end Tara and Sanchi are both very different people but I suppose Sanchi is better for Shravan because she has the ability to make him a better person. It seems as though Tara brings out the worse in Shravan when it comes to his family, and Sanchi brings out the best in him. I really admire both Sanchi and Tara for their own characteristics, but perhaps there is someone else out there for Tara whose family would also accept her attitude and outlook on life (because I cannot imagine Shravan's family, specially Dadi, being okay with the type of clothes she wears, cuz i cannot imagine Tara in a saree lol and all that heavy jewellery). 😆
