Chapter 1
After 20 Years, Hoshiyarpur
Pinky gets off the train, and sees no one had came to pick her up.
"yeh Geet bhi na, kabhi time pe nahin aati, aab kya karoon?" said Pinky
She walked and sits on bench to wait for sometime, takes out her favourite novel and started re-reading it for timepass. After sometime she looked at her watch.
Pinky shocked : "15 minutes passed aur kisika koi pata nahin?, ek kaam karti hoon main khud hi ek auto lekar ghar chali jaati hoon" with that said she stood up and was about to go just then she hears a female voice : "piinnnkyyyyyyyyy" A Girl running towards her with curly black hair, wearing salwar-kameez, jhumka, few bangles on right hand and a watch on left hand.
Pinky didnt move : "GeeT you are late, tujhe pata pichle 15 minutes se main tera intezar kar rahi hoon"
Geet : "aarre yaar, wo naina di aarahi hain na aaj? to mummyji ne kaha bazaar jaake didi ki favourite sabzi (vegetables) lane ko, iss liye der ho gayi" Pinky could see her holding a packet/bag of vegetables.
Pinky : "wow naina di aarahi hain, then it'll be lods of fun today" said while they were walking.
Geet : "haa, aur tu baata, tera job kaisi chal rahi hain?"
Pinky : "good yaar, waise bhi receptionist ka to koi zyaada kaam nahin hain to maine chance milte hii, boss se kuch din break mangliya oh by the way my boss is searching for a secretary, that means ek secretary ka place khali hain, tu karegi?"
Geet : "karna to chahti hoon, lekin Mumbai jaise anjaan city mein main kaise adjust kar paoongi?aur kya mummyji aur pappaji raji honge?"
Pinky : "aare pehle tu unse baat to karke dekh, aur waise bhi anjaan city main tu akeli toh nahin rahegi, main aur dad hain, tu mere saath rahegi"
Geet : baat toh tu sahin kehrahi hain, theek hain main mummyji aur pappaji se baat karti hoon"
Then they took a rickshaw and headed on the way to Geet's House.

Geet and Pinky reaches Geet's house. Mrs.Handa was outside the house watering some plants.
" auntyjiiii" pinky runs towards her and hugged her.
Aunty : "oye pinky puttar kaa haal hain? tumhara job kaisi chal rahi hain, aur tumhare papaji?"
Pinky : "dadiji sab kuch theek hain, dad bhi bilkul theek hain."
Aunty : "waheguru ka shukran hain, waise tum tired ho gayi hogi, ja aur geet puttar ke saath jaa aur fresh hojao, tab tak main tum dono ke khane ka intezam karti hoon, tumhari favourite "matar-paaneer"banayi hain"
Pinky got excited : "sach aunty?" Mrs.Handa nodded.
Pinky : "theek main abhi fresh hoke aati hoon, geet chal"
Geet : "tu chal main ye sabzi rakhke aati hoon" Pinky nodded and went inside.
Mrs.Handa was about to go inside just then geet stopped her
Geet : "mummyji, wo pinky bata rahi thi ke, woh jaha kaam karti hain na i mean the company, to uss company ka secretary ka place khali hain, to main soch rahi thi ke mein pinky ke saath mumbai chali jaaoon to?"
Mrs.Handa : "lekin beta tum aur mumbai? mera matlab ke.....
mrs.handa couldnt complete as she saw naina coming.
"mummyji, geet" said naina touching her mother's feet for blessings.
Mrs.Handa : "khush raho, kaisa raha safar? aur damadji nahin aaye?"
Naina : "wo dev ka office mein kuch zaroori kaam aagaye they toh issliye wo humein bahar tak chod diya, waise kya baatein ho rahi thi?"
Mrs.Handa : "arre pehle tu ander toh chal, phir aaram se beth ke baat karenge"
then three of them went inside.

Naina and Geet was sitting in the living-room, whereas Mrs.Handa went to bring some drinks and snacks for them
Naina : "so geet sab kuch theek chal rahi hain?"
Geet then tells about the job vacancy in the company where pinky works, that means she was to go to mumbai with pinky.
Naina : toh aisi baat hain, tujhe pata hain, mumbai mein na humare pappaji ke best friend rehte hain, tujhe toh mummyji ne bataye honge?"
Geet : "hain bataya toh tha"
Naina : tujhe pata hain jaate jaate wo apne bete ke saath teri shaadi fix kardi"
Geet shocked : "kya? kaun hain wo? kya naam hain uska?
Naina : "arre shant ho jaa, main tujhe uska naam nahin bataungi, main bhi to dekhoon ke tu usse kaise dhoondti hain, i mean tu mumbai jaa rahi hain na? dekhte hain agar tum dono ek dusre ke liye bane ho, toh tum log waha zaroor miloge"
Just then Mrs.Handa comes and both naina and geet stopped their conversation
Mrs.Handa started her conversation with Naina
while Geet thinking that her marriage is fixed with someone she never met? and she dont even know his name, who'll the guy be? Is He the one who has been made for her only"
