The jawans in Leh have had quite a memorable Holi.
NDTV's Jai Jawan takes celebrities to army outposts, in an effort to bring soldiers closer to their screen favourites. In the past, the show has featured Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan.
This time around, Mallika Sherawat joined the bandwagon. The result: Some very thrilled soldiers.
With temperatures cold enough to make the heroine trade in her normally risque garb for a thick jacket and jeans, Sherawat visited the highest army training camp in the world -- the Ladakh scouts training centre.
The Haryanvi actress revealed that she would soon play an Army officer in an upcoming film, Fauj Mein Mauj.
Thankfully, film critics were not in range when Mallika got her hands on various guns at the shooting range.
The Murder girl learnt the right way to caress a firearm, but didn't actually get to fire.
Getting herself in quite a bind, Mallika enthusiastically joined in all the rock climbing activity, and impressed the soldiers with her athleticism.
She tried her hand at rappeling down steep rock faces, and participated in a couple of friendly (yet extremely competitive) rounds of tug-of-war.
The actress interacted warmly with the soldiers' wives and kids, and set the stage for the evening's big event.
Dancing to songs from her next release, Shaadi Se Pehle, Mallika's improvised stage show had the soldiers letting their hair down. She recited poetry at first, but soon made sure the jawans were grooving to her Bollywood beats.
According to reports, Mallika had such a blast that she's now down with a fever, so much so that she can't live up to current film commitments.
Well, at least it was for an unforgettable show.
