Sukirti Kandpal is a famous Indian TV actress. Born in November 20, 1987 in Nanital to a popular public prosecutor B D Khandpal. She has an elder sister, Bhavna, and a brother, Manjul Kandpal. Sukirti Kandpal was aiming for a career in Law herself also. However, luck had other plans for her. A short appearance in 'Shhh... Koi Hai' and a leading role in 'Jersey No.10' ultimately resulted in her bagging the lead role of Dr. Riddhima Gupta in the very famous TV Serial "Dill Mill Gaye".
Sukirti Kandpal started her career as a model and slowly moved onto acting, as the offers began to come in. As an actress, she shot to fame first with Cinevistaas TV series titled 'Jersey No. 10' in the year 2007, a youthful show with a sports theme, where she played the role of a tennis player named Saakshi. On May 20th 2008 Shilpa Anand, who played the role of Dr. Riddhima for the first 9 months in the superbly popular TV show Dill Mill Gaye, announced that she was leaving the show.
Sukirti Kandpal was signed on as her alternate and her first episode as Dr Riddhima aired on June 2nd 2008. Though, as happens with all replacements in TV shows, it was difficult to accept a new actress in the much loved character's shoes, Sukirti took no time at all in making the viewers like her. As her costar, Karan Singh Grover who plays Dr Armaan, so rightly stated: "Sukirti is surpassing all expectations". She has taken Dr Riddhima to newer and better heights, and at the same, Dill Mill Gaye has also taken Sukirti's career to bigger and better heights.
