Oh, they will burn up all right...but these three are as savvy as they get, but they often shoot themselves in the foot too. Of course, Suds may be captivated, at which point his wife and Kala will shoot him a look that will put him in his place. End of Suds matter here.
Yes, they made so much fun of her, but for me the revenge is not sweet per se. Let me explain what I mean by that---I won't get my jollies from seeing them jealous. The three of them will use Naku's deception or whatever you call it, and use it against her. And plus, for me, it's more about Naku and Dutta, so these three and how jealous they feel really doesn't matter so much to me. The three of them are just such miserable people that they would have found fault with anyone with Dutta--too fair, too dark, too dumb, too smart, too blah, too blah....
