I already feel disconnected from fair Naku

Let me premise this discussion by saying that it will take time to get used to the new Naku, and I may actually enjoy her persona on-screen.

Here is my problem. I don't know how many of you feel this way, but I hope I am not the only one jumping the gun here.

So far, we have seen an overly-dolled up Naku. Yes, she is a bride, but they could have toned it down a bit. This is not Jodha Akbar, for God's sake.

So we see our sweet Naku in her fair avatar...nice. She looks very pretty. Now the absurdities begin:
She is supposedly such an "apsara" - 😡 😡 I hate that word. If you're going to use it, at least apply it to someone who truly is one!. So Anna sees her and goes ga-ga 🤪 🤪. Ok, fair enough--he's a horny man. Then you have Naku later tell Subhu in a not so subtle way that her husband was eyeing her. I thought it was such an insult to Subhu, the way it was said, and it was not in Naku's character to put it that way. Then she talks about how her beautiful roop is a shaap. I don't know, but I feel a huge disconnect between our sweet, humble Naku, and this glammed up girl who thinks she is Katrina Kaif or Aishwarya Rai or something truly great. Naku is lovely, BUT she is not this apsara. The more they focus on her unsubstantiated "beauty", I'm like "what are they talking about?". God, leave her as a very pretty girl, and let her be more believable so that we can enjoy her romance with Dutta.

Am I off here?

I agree with every word you wrote. Naku with so much bold make up was hard to digest. I have always said that Mahi acts much better when she has the dark make up on. Whenever, she has been shown fair, Naku does not appear as innocent and sweet as she does with black make up. And toady's episode made me believe that further. When Naku gets out of the doli and is looking sideways while Anna is staring at her, she looks very arrogant. Later on, when she is talking to Subbo, she looks quite proud of her looks. Now, I dont know if Mahi was asked to act like that or if she can only act like that without the black make up on. I remember when Jassi's look was changed in jassi jaisi koi nahin, she had the same bubbliness and innocence inside her as before so it wasnt hard to accept her changed look. I hope future Naku is shown innocent as well, or I am gonna be in a huge problem.

yeah even i felt d same bt re-thinking it again i think dats very much needed now...i mean suppose i m naku nd my mother keeps my real face hidden.sooooooo its obvious dat if ppl see my 2 different faces they'l get attracted more seeing my beautiful face which is definately nt of apsara bt for d time being ppl might consider it as of princess....
when we come in light frm sudden darkness we need time to adjust our normal vision nd dats d exact case with ppl who watch her changing all beautiful frm no beauty...
nd naku who sees all this thinks dats its a fact.sooo i justify her anger coz she has a mother who always kept her unreal nd then ppl who whenever she comes out in her real self eyes at her.....


bt sure m nt gonna accept this once dutta even comes to know bout d truth behind her face coz if her attitude continues d charm of naku's character will b no more....

Completely agree....I think with this fairness angle this serial would lose its charm....for one, naku is aware of what she looks like....she has developed an attitude....and secondly, i did want dutta to confess his love to the dark naku.....not the fair one...right now his love is still growing and if he sees fair naku then it will diminish it and the story line will become predictable like ramayan....We want to see more of the dark Naku and dutta romance....
Please CVs dont make Naku so fair...she is not the Naku we are used to... and what is the point of saying she has a good heart despite no good looks when you cant even give Dutta to actually confess his feelings since he has fallen for her heart?

Nakku deeply think she is very beautiful because her mom said she is very beautiful and she will get trouble because of beauty hide her face and nakku deeply accepted it because when a evil man seeing her knowing that she is all alone they try to abduct her.

Not ever man is falling for nakku only evil man with evil eye. Datta doesn't fall for her beauty.

On march 2nd nakku was chased my morry men,

Nakku fall over datta car, he did not fall for her all of the sudden like moory and anna.

During fight, when nakku hug datta he felt disgusting.

There is Good man out there like datta.

There are bad men out there like moory and anna who all way have evil eye on beauty that come across them.

Nakku is poor girl. There is so many girl out there like her. If nakku and babi know that her father will save her then she will never hide her face from the outer world. Not only nakku every girl in the world need a protector. If nakku is a beautiful girl with strong back ground moory and anna will never have a evil eye on her.

Even I had a same experience ( I am dark look nice that it).

babi thing a nakku is beautiful with no strong background to protect her evil man can take advantage over it. It is absolutely true.

CV IS TRYING TO PROVE THAT. beauty is the enemy to poor girl. and it is true noting can change it.

You took the words out of my mouth. For some reason, she does not appear as innocent and sweet as with her black makeup. It may be our interpretation, or that something is just not right. I will tell you one thing that will get chappals and chappals and fruits and vegetables and any portable item thrown at me. 😆 What I have seen of the fair Naku, albeit only a couple of episodes to be fair, the acting does not seem as hard hitting as with the Dark Naku. Not as sincere, not as warm-hearted. Mahi's delivery of the lines, the expressions just feel different--perhaps it's that electric geisha-level makeup, Indian-style. 😆

I agree with your comments, but why does Naku have to be so enamored with herself and her beauty. She was always humble before despite knowing her "beauty". I do not want Naku conscious of her own beauty--that is not our Naku.

I am a little confused GP by what exactly is your point You dont want the CVs tease viewers and want the revelation asap. But then revelation=fair Naku. Once Dutta knows what she looks like there will be no going back. Dutta and us will have to live with the fair and lovely Naku. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder but in the show Naku is supposed to be a very beautiful woman irrespective of how beautiful we find MV to be. We will continue to see men go ga-ga over her from time to time in the show including Dutta who ofcourse being the hero will be the most immune to her beauty and will take the longest but fall the hardest for her.
