I was also thinking the same thing while watching the interview. But i guess we can see love once krishna recovers.
When there is guilt it muddies everything up. She has to work through the guilt by being candid with him. They need to talk things through. Doubt if they will show that part of it so much. I do hope they don't rush the C of M for the sake of speeding up the story tracks. This is one part of their romantic journey that is important to see them work through the misunderstandings and come together without holding back secrets and feelings that are simmering on the surface. Only then can love really be meaningful in their marriage.
Krishna has in many ways expressed his love for Prats in the way he has handled things in his life and been there for her in more ways than one. He needed to learn to express some of it in a refined way that he didn't know earlier due to his upbringing and the world he lived in. But he has always been open to learning a better way of dealing with things like when he reflected on Prof. suggestion to bring his parents to ask for Prats's hand in marriage. He told T/C he didn't know better and was willing to try Prof. suggestion.
