Jai was Shaimak's Student

I did not know that Jai was Shaimak Davar's student. I was wondering about it since I saw his picture with Shahid ! Here is an old article which confirms that he was actually Shaimak's student. I apologize if it has already been posted !


Jai snubs Terence for Shiamak

Though it was all about acknowledgements in this week's Dance India Dance there was an exception. Jai Kumar Nair, in spite of being a talented dancer has not received the fame and adulation that his co-contestants, Salman, Prince or Siddhesh have enjoyed. But this week Jai under Terence's able tutelage proved that he was as good as his competitors. He gave a superlative performance on the song manmohini teri ada from the movie Hum dil de chuke sanam. Inspite of being in the bottom 2, his performance left everybody speechless. He got a standing ovation not only from the dance master but from everyone present on the sets.

Choked with emotion Terence ran to hug his favourite student. But it was an audio-visual that was shown that shocked those who saw it. Ace choreographer Shiamak Davar appeared on screen and for the very first time it was revealed that Jai Kumar Nair was actually Shiamak Davar's student.

Shiamak praised Jai's performance and wished him luck. He also mentioned the fact that they had parted ways for some reason which he did not wish to recall and looked forward to reuniting. The AV got over but Jai was caught in a volley of emotions. He openly declared that Shiamak was his guru and whatever he is, it is because of Shiamak.

The industry is aware of Terence and Shiamak's unpleasant relationship. And to top that just when Terence was luxuriating in Jai's triumph, his dear pupil managed to snatch the cake away from him by openly acknowledging the fact that Shiamak meant everything to him. Master Terence silently digested the insult but his grim expressions said it all.

Nothing to say' just blame it on reality. It just catches you unaware!

😊 Strange........I wonder what Shaimak would think of what Jai did? How Jai bashed the winners of DID 1 by calling them undeserving and also how Jai said that the only reason Jeetu won was because of his popularity and that only his student Atul could do "pure dance"..........I wonder if Shaimak would approve of such kind of behavior from his former student........Shaimak seems pretty sporty and I don't think he would support such unsporting behavior, but who knows........😊

^ LOL...ab chod bhi do....By using harsh words, the reality won't change and no one is going to believe what is said blindly. Even if they do, they are mistaken because we know the amount of effort that was put in by both Dharmesh Sir and Jeetumoni and ofcourse the whole team! The winners are enjoying and so shall we! :D Jo beet gaya so beet gaya. I hope Jai realizes his mistake but we don't need to keep recalling that incident! 😊

AND, what is wrong between Shiamak and Jai and between Jai and Shiamak? :S WOW...so many inner controversies...I'll never understand. Don't tell me Terence was also Shiamak's student! 😆
& AWWW Jai should have given some credit to his master Terence too! After all his choreographies did wonders and made us like Jai's performances.

he did that already.... you guyz must know that none of his solo performances done by terence.... mostly by himself and someone name shampa..... all his duets... yes all by terence sir.... terence forte is not really contemporary it's classical indians....

uff for gods sake leave that guy alone now... for watever he had said many people have bashed him enough ; why the incident is recalled again and again
Yes I understand wat he said must have hurt jeetu and dharmesh fans but please keep in mind there are Jai fans as well on this forum and we do feel hurt as well if hes continously bashed 🤔
No personal offence to any1 this is just my sincere request

this is very old news..and the entire shiamak davar part was edited out of DID1 :S

And even If Jais shamaks student and Shamak ji and terrence were not in mcuh good terms ; Jai has always respected and loved terrence as a mentor and Terrence has always treated him very well so nothing to argue about it now ...dont connect Jais latest statements with this old things now .
