Baiju, appreciate you for opening this topic. So many people have already said many things. Anyway, just my 2 cents here.

The answer to your question in general is being popular is not at all a crime. I think it's absolutely wonderful that you are being loved by so many people. Can anyone show a single popular person who is not talented? I think there isn't any. Now there is a difference how do we define talent? Since you have already given Amitabh Bachhan as an example, let me elaborate on that line. Many people think Amitabh is the biggest superstar of the hindi film industry of all time. He has reached where he have reached today with his hard work, dedication and of course talent. But some people may argue Naseeruddin Shah is more talented as far as acting goes. May be there's a truth as well. But sometimes we forget that it's a quality to be a STAR, it's not everyone's cup of tea. You can reach a certain destination with less talent but you can't reach pinnacle with it. STARs are not Less Talented human beings. Kishore Kumar connected with audience that's why he is popular. Manna Dey may be more talented than him with his classical background but he is not as popular like Kishore. Does this mean Kishore has less talent? Absolutely no ! Also vice versa...

Anyway coming to the reality shows, they are meant to divide audience. In most of the cases we have 2-3 contestant at per as far as their talent goes as well as popularity goes. Some connect with audience slightly more that's why they become ultimate winner. But the fans of other one tend to think that their favourite hadn't given more screen space or something and then all hell broke loose.

Anyway I always feel true talent can't be suppressed forever and some day or other they will come out with flying colours and they will get all the popularity, success and fame in life....

P.S: I didn't intend to compare the legends in my post, just used their names as examples

😊 Good post.......using the example in your post......would it be okay for Naseruddin Shah to bash Amitabh just because Amitabh is doing better then him? No right? and tha's the point that made many people upset in the forum......Jai can think Atul is more talented all he wants but why did he bash Jeetu by saying that Jeetu only won because of popularity and not because of his talent? No one is telling Jai who to like but at the same time he can't be bashing the winner like he did yesterday and even the way he bashed the winner of DID 1.....😊

No, bashing in any form is not right
The best way is to prove yourself in the next opportunity you get.
