Hello All Friends,😛
This is my 1st topic on Debate Mansion.
We all say Hockey is our National Game but after looking India's Hockey Condition Today,It's hard to Believe that Hockey is our National Game.
We have Given so much importance to Cricket that we are looking with a blind eye towards Hockey & other Sports.
The Whole Nation is responsible for the Debacle of Hockey in our Country.
Well On Friday 6th Aug 2010,Supreme Court gave Permission to IHF(Indian Hockey Federation)which is an autonomous organisation to go ahead with elections.
IHF conducted Elections.The Fight for the post of Chairman was between High Profile Vidya Stokes & Retired Player Pargat Singh.
Once Again,The Bad Side of Our Democracy is that a Hockey player like Pargat Singh Lost the elections & Vidya Stokes was appointed.
At Times,I can't understand why these Politicians & High Profile People are Appointed & The Real person & Player who can solve the Problem with his Knowledge is Defeated.
This is not only in Hockey.Take any Sports of our country,The politicians are the Head or Chairman of that respective Association.The Story of all the Sports is same & that's why all the sports of our country have Suffered coz they are not free from the trap of Greedy Politicians who for the sake of name & fame take up the Chair.
The Real Hero like Pargat Singh who was a Good Player in his time,Who has a lot of experience & Good Leadership skills was fit for the chair & Needed to be there but Dirty Politics they say & he was a prey of that.
When the Politicians will Stop themselves from interfering in Sports like this?😡
Well KPS Gill,the Ex-Chairman of IHF had handled everything properly till he could do it well but last some few years,He too With his Larger than Life Image in IHF & Authocratic Attitude,tussled with Great Player like Dhanraj Pillai & sacked Him.KPS Gill in his last stages behaved like a hitler & Used Favouritism.
Still Hockey is Suffering from that.It has not came out of this Favouritism.
The real players like Pargat Singh should Sit in the Top Post Coz Real players Can solve the Problem as they know the Root cause.
Well in WC this year,We were on 8th rank.I congratulate the Team coz Last WC we were on the 12th spot.👍🏼
We have Nice Players like Rajpal Singh,Dilip Tirkey,Prabhjot Singh,Sandeep Singh,Adrian D'souza,Diwakar Ram,Dhananjay Mahadhik,Bharat,Sarabjot Singh,etc.
We too have a Good Coach in the Lights of Jose Brasa.
The Authorities & The Govt.& IHF needs to breed these talent & Give them Facillities so that these players can make the Country Proud.
But the Govt. & IHF are busy Fighting with each other & on Friday 6th Aug,2010,The Govt of India took away the recognition from IHF.
This was the Bad day for the Future of our Hockey.But No One is Worried.
Media is also Responsible for this Hockey's Fiasco.
All the News Channels were busy in showing Colors launch of New Show Khatron ke Khiladi 3But they were not interested in showing this news.The News was shown in the Night 11:00pm when no one watches & Everyone Skipped it.
This is our Media who claims that we are so Unbiased but They are'nt.😡
Pathetic Media of the Country.🤢
It's Just an Emotional Traumatization to watch any news channel.🤢They have no Substance or they Hide the Real things.🤢
Well On 15th Aug every year,Indian Flag is Burnt in Kashmir by the Separatists but No Media Channel Shows it & makes it a breaking News.
If needed amenities & facillities are provided to our Hockey Team,They can Shine our National Game & Make us Proud & Bring back Old Days.
The Govt,The IHF,The Media & We all citizens have to look & develop interest for our national game then the Sky too will not be alimit to achieve for us but WillPower,Dedication & Sincerity by everyone is Neccesssary.
The Need of the Hour is That Hockey should get its Glory Again.
We Can & Surely Will Win Hockey WC in 2014.We can Hope for it Atleast & beat the Top teams like Australia.
