The first time I saw the episode and Thakur as Krishna, I was lauffing my brains off. After a few tymes though i started to think about the analogy vis a vis the story of Bairi Piya. It just might be a rather apt analogy for BP in a twisted way. Krishna left Radha because he had the weight of the world on his shoulders and their relationship was inappropriate in the eyes of society because she was already married....

Here Thakur, the married man, is madly in love with his Amoli. Who time and again tries to leave him because she is righteous and knows their relationship is inappropriate. Yet, her denial and the conventions of this world have no impact on Thakur just as it had little effect on radha of yore... She broke the norms of society then to become Krishna's love... Thakur did much the same... RadhaKrishna love was pure and unconsummated. To date Thakur has never consummated his relationship with Amoli

But, wait is Thakur - Radha ya Krishna? Krishna was quiet the unfair and heartless lover to Radha was he not if you really think about it? Krishna loved Radha and left her watever his reasoning - as such he was a heartless lover. In this case, Thakur just like Krishna hurt Radha, hurt Amoli at every juncture because of his love... Seriously wat kind of love is it that Dard-hi-Dard dehta hai both Radha&Krishna ko and AmoliThakur ko?

Wat do you all think? Is the analogy apt or is thakur just kansamama/chachu 😉

Also Radha was older to krishna n theirs was more a spiritual kind of love which was never meant to be....That can be related to DV's love for Amoli which goes beyond physical or mental n has attained spiritual proportions now...But till date Radha/Krishna ki jodi is very famous...I mean Radha is mentioned b4 Krishna and even in temples u find the pair of Radha Krishna together even though they never married n Krishna had many wives after that..
I think the purpose of this Rasleela was just for Thakur to come n express his love fearlessly to Amoli and for Amoli to feel the depth of his love and understand truly what she really felt for him and to get her out from her somewhat confused state of mind..
So when he left her n goes away in the Rasleela it kind of pinches her from within as if he was really going out of her life...

N yeah ur ryt me too was laughing my guts out whn I saw Dv as Krishna he was looking more like Duryodhan...Krishna never wore that kind of an outfit I mean especially if u lukk at the mukut...He always had a peacock feather on his mukut...I think his get up was not convincing...I mean Dv did not lukk convincing playing Krishna...But Amoli was luking gr8 n she gave a gud performance.

@Tina

I agree it was just a means for Thakur to get Amoli to understand his love but, the analogy is interesting in itself.

As you pointed out, Radha was older and here Thakur is older... He like Radha is married & trying to attain the seemingly impossible - Amoli (who does not love him & is married to someone else). And as has been mentioned a number of times including by Thakur himself - this is his love story. So, its always been DV before Amoli... like Radha before Krishna

N u thought he looked like Duryodhan... Errm i thought Bhim Sen especially with the height disparity btwn them n except for the flute nothing in the costume suggested Krishna 🤣 🤣 🤣 I still get the giggles thinking of it 😆 😆

I found the raseela kind of lame. For some reason Sharad was not into the acting part of it. It appeared as if he was just saying the lines and didn't mean it from the heart as DV. It appeared very forceful and that role did not suit him. Maybe it was just me.

And that acceptance of love was cold as ice. Better have a nice episode for Monday after that Friday disaster episode I think.

Awesome discussion topic Anj....i had to research before i came here😃
alrighty...since i really do not have a lot of authentic knowledge regarding Radha and Krishnas relationship...i m gonna apologize rt now if i hurt anyones feelings...sorry people its just my opnion...after garnering stuff from Google chacha so bear with me...😃
as much as i read about Radha and Krishna...i realized that the analogy of Thakur and Amoli share a simikar relationship Radha and Krishna is highly possible.....like u have stated that Radha and Krishna broke societal Norms to be with each other....mostly Radha...so has Thakur...and as of rt now Amoli...by starting to accept DV is going against societal views.
regarding your question that whether Thakur is Radha or Krishna...i think the answer lies in interpretation...i think he is both at different times...both him and Amoli constantly switch roles....most days DV is Radha...breaking all Norms...but he is also Krishna....by being unfair/cruel and demanding....because of his transcendal love....and because of his posessive nature...somedays Amoli is Radha that she is constantly thinking about DV even when she had a husband of her own....her life was all about how to defeat DV.....as if her whole life just revolves around Dv and no one else matter....everybody else is secondary to her need to defat him...that is my interpretion.
According to me...DV and Amoli have shown over and over again that they are bairi piyas to each other...and to their respectives spouses as well.....and here is where i think the analogy is apt....because as much as i have read both Radha and Krishna were bairi piya or heartless lovers of each other.....least to say that they both were soulmates...and equall parts of one whole...just like DV and Amoli...no matter where they are...they complete each other...and they are attracted towards each other.....even if they have multiple or countless partners in the meantime...they are meant for each other....just like Radha and Krishna.....😃
sorry peeps my thoughts are kinda jumbled......however, DV as Krishna, i found it rather hard to swallow as well...infact i didnt watched the scene...just heard it...and watched Amolis reaction at the end.....about DV being Kansmama....i have not alot knowledge about that...but i must say...no diety seems who had purely good qualities...just like humans dieties seem to have grey shades..and so does DV...so did Krishna and so did Radha....my post is not ment to offend anybody's religiuos beliefs...and if i have....i ask ur humble apologies🤔
