Playing the part is model-turned-actor Diwakar Pundir who was previously seen in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii as Sambhav. Says Pundir, "This is my second innings on the small screen. Kshom is a character that has many shades. He comes across as a good guy but his desire to make money overpowers that quality. He has his own principles in life and decides to go ahead with what his heart tells him." Sources reveal that his association with Jia (Deepa Parab) comes about thanks to his curiosity about her. In his past, Kshom used to be very fond of a girl who resembles Jia. This confuses him, driving him to find out more about Jia and her life. Pundir, however, refuses to divulge any details, saying, "There is no immediate connection between him and Jia. But he does help her get out of some tricky situations." Apart from the small screen, the chiselled actor is also busy shooting for the big screen. "I have a couple of films on hand. Since I had some time between the release of these films I decided to do television," he says. Pundir says he has been very lucky to have been offered interesting characters in his forthcoming films.
