Mera Naam Karegi Roshan

The only thing that TV producers/channels are sure about is how unsure they can be! Should this be put down to lack of self-belief or do these insecurities creep in out of a fear for TRPs?
Well, one doesn't expect such insecurities when the show is just a week old.

Hats Off production's 'Mera Naam Karegi Roshan' launched last Monday on Zee TV. As the title suggests, the show is about a girl who does her father proud by performing duties that are otherwise performed by a son.

The real show was to come alive when the patriarch Veer Pratap Singh (Vikram Gokhale) dies. His unruly sons only care about his wealth while it's the daughter (Reet) who carries on her father's legacy. Veer was to die early, but the channel isn't keen to let Veer do so. That has created confusion among the cast and crew.

One of them says, "Daily soaps are truly unpredictable. The story progresses once Veer Pratap dies. Strangely, we've shot Veer's death scene and funeral in Lucknow. We're now surprised to hear that the channel doesn't want him to die a week after the show's launch. If Veer continues to live, we will have to shoot new scenes with Vikramji. I've never seen such a thing happen so early in a show."

Well, Vikram Gokhale won't complain. After all, he'll be getting more remuneration for the additional work.

good that he will not be dying for the show to proceed forward, also if his alive the title of the show can proceed with the story without affecting the show.that bringing any change in it.he of course must be alive to see how reet will make him proud.

thanx. i actually see sense in what the channel want because if his death is after the first week then that would be too fast after all the show has only started now i think i bit more friction is needed between the kuwar and veer pratap singh.

correcto!!! the story does need to be slowed down so thakur can stay for awhile. i really hope they don't write him for a long time. it would be good to see more of the relationship between dad and daughter.....this is a very unique situation......the relationshop focuses mainly on that relationship...love it.....i think there is already a lot of friction between kuwar and the thakhur father.....however they get worse and worse every time as we can see in other serials such as DS ideas/????? 😊 😛 😉
