I can see where most of the Vinit-Himani pair is stemming from. It's mainly from Vinit fans. Although they'd make an admirable pair, it isn't wise to declare them the best and pair them just because there are rumours of them going around. IMHO, their voices don't suit each other at all. Himani is more towards a Soprano (among girls) and Vinit is definitely an Alto. Now a girl being a Soprano and a guy being an Alto and singing together is 😕 . It would be fantastic the other way round. Now let's talk about Hema and Nihira. Bass and Alto. Fantastic combo. And they can match note for note due to being rigourously trained.
Nihira and Debu were the best pair that day when they sang Aao Na. IMHO, Gajji is promoting Himani for the heck of it. Masala value. her voice was hardly audible when they sang Right Here Right Now. And please, is that even a song? Hema is so well classically trained. I'd love to hear Sawan Aaye Ya Na Aaye from Hema-Nihira or even Ajhun Na Aaye Balamwa from that pair.
And for lighter melodies, Woh Hain Zara Khafa would be superb
