Well, this thought occurred to me, while replying to one of the posts... for days, everyone has talked about the lost glory of the show... and about the incessant repetition of scenes, with a few twists here and there...
but what has angered most, is the fact that the show has lost its original flavor... and they dont want to re-create anymore... the reason for the same .. no one knows...
but i say... when DMG first started, it was one of its kinds, to show the intensity and undying love of a man towards the woman he loved no matter what she treated him like.. along side, it also showed, friendships... ( which mind you, were never valued, when they were actually on air....) i remember the phase when Karan was busy shooting for ZND, the show was running on AA and RM almost.. and most people were not happy about it.. they wanted their lead together...
but, later when the new cast came in, suddenly there were so many posts about the old gang, the fun, and all the frolic that was perhaps never acknowledged during the first two years... alright.. taken... you never realise, what you had until you've lost it...
but, what i want to know is... dont you think, DMG has done its bit.. it has shown so many first of its kinds.. that it is now wanting to live off the glory it created... what is the purpose of doing the same old scenes with other actors? and after all that, you still want to get TRPs? do you remember why you got your TRP's in the first place? cos, you dared to be different...
All the shows that started after DMG have taken over it...and i am not surprised why.... Geet, which recently started with its love track looks promising.. its the same look look look chemistry... the same baarish, the same kashish.. but the couple is new, and there is a promise... there is hope... with DMG everything has been tried ... tested... fried, and garbaged....
why are we still hopelessly hanging onto some one scene that pleased us, or some one episode which looked promise for a while, but fizzled out in the very next?
is it our fault as fans? or the makers also think, they can live off what they once earned?
eitherways... there is a need for a strong call to be made... whether it is us as audience, or they as makers... is yet to be seen...
p.s. i am not going to leave any PS note on loyalities... as i am sick of those... but yeah, i do have a request...! try and understand wad i am trying to convey!! IN THE RIGHT SPIRIT...
