She may have lost the female lead role in Kal Ho Na Ho to Preity Zinta due to a misunderstanding, but if things go according to plan, then Kareena Kapoor may star in Karan Johar 's next production.

Karan and Kareena had a misunderstanding over financial matters when Karan was casting for 'Kal Ho Na Ho'.

Karan had penned the central role in the Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan starrer keeping Kareena in mind, but due to a misunderstanding, he finalized Preity for the role in question.

But reports now are that the duo is planning to work with one another once again.

Karan is considering casting Kareena in Soham 's next project, which is expected to roll by the year-end.

Soham's debut directorial venture was Kaal .

Talks are currently in progress and the film would also star Akshay Kumar and John Abraham , who starred together in Garam Masala .
