I think everyone at one point or another has gotten attention regardless of wheather they r deserving or not like in the beganing it was bhoomis Marathi then it was shivams Jerry mouse deal than it was shreerams makeover than now it's rakeshs family

i feel that creative team on indian idol try to find out what could be dramatic and use that to show drama on their episodes to increae TRPs...so Rakesh's family thing, Shashi's leaving the house, Swaroop's belonging to small town, Shivam's liking for all heroines, Bhoomi's rap,Tia who looks like teenager etc.

u name it - anything that can make the show spicy and curious, they are getting it out...i dont think anyone particularly getting more publicity, just that they have more elements of same...like getting Rakesh's gf on stage, their dance, proposing, other contestants dont have gf or dont want to admit, so they dont get footage....

But who get the most?

Swaroop gets a lot, Rakesh got now with family and GF, Sriram got from Sanjay Dutt make over, Shivam always gets, Bhumi got many times with her rap, (I do not remember if Tia got any).

Channel always does this to make more money. This is plain economy issue.
