The site audiencemap.com provides only trps of major cities and not small town ratings..so they r not exactly correct and neither the channel follow these regular trps...they hv no value...the only trp which the channel follows is the one which comes out every week on thursday or friday on Indiantelevision.com site..those r TAM ratings and the exact ratings which the channel actually follows..they take into account city as well as small town ratings
Trps in general r calculated through certain machines which r situated in cable tv offices of few major cities(mayb 6 cities) and they take into account some 17000-18000 houses and based on that check which channel is being watched by those houses at different time slots and calculate the percentage...well overall its a faulty technique and does not give a clear picture because its just an estimation of few houses whereas India's population is in billions😆...So Broadcasting Ministry is actually trying to improve this Trp system..lets see😆/...Any further doubts feel free to PM me..I know the entire history-geography of trp system😆😆
