Following is a poem of mine (I know it's not too good). It is my first try at an Acrostic Poem; a poem in which the initial letters of the lines, taken consecutively, form words; in this case, a name
- a very special name 😊
Saamne jab tu aayi to, ye samaa bandh sa gaya tha
Us waqt tera aks laga hume apne rehnumaayi ki tarah
Kabhi chhupakar, kabhi batakar, kabhi apni palkein jhukakar
Iqraar-e-wafa tune kiya apne armaan ki jaan ki tarah
Raat-din ki khabar nahi thi, na tha kisi ka darr tujhe
Toot kar jo chaaha tune armaan ko uski deewaani ki tarah
Ishq ke imtihaan kayi the, thi muhabbat ki majbooriyan kayi
Kaaton ko tune dill me chhupaya, roshan chaad ke har daag ki tarah
Aashayein tujhse judi thi, dill me kayi armaan jage the
Nayi zindagi ka naya safar, sab lagta tha ek khwaab ki tarah
Dill millne ki khushiyaan saari, ek-ek jaan tujh pe thi vaari
Pal-pal tujhe mehekna tha, gulistaan ke surkh gulaab ki tarah
Aaj bhi yaad aati hai teri, tera alvida kahe bina chale jaana
Lamhe bhar me chhot gaya sab, bheed me thaame ek haath ki tarah
Beauty has numerous forms of expressions, dimensions and contexts, from a beautiful landscapet to the beautiful lyrics of a song. Though hands down, the ultimate beauty is a woman. As an artist myself, I have fallen prey of the captivating beauty of a woman 😳 actually, a Princess... our Princess Sukirti.
This figure of a woman, is a remarkable instance of enigmatic expression, which seems both alluring and aloof, has given the personification of "the perfect beauty of a woman". The heart-melting, charming smile which pervades gently and delicately into our hearts and warms it from within.
We call Sukirti, the beauty personified, not Sukirti looking beautiful. And how true it is! She may not have a plastic smile but she has her own real beauty - the beauty of her natural skin, skill and soul. The beauty of her acting is but the reflection of the beauty of her character.
When Sukirti entered DMG, it was like, in KSG's words, "Sukirti picked up... matlab... instantly!" She came, she saw and she conquered. Bashers complained that Sukirti had a babyish face, a babyish voice; but Suku proved that she was no baby when it came to acting. She went beyond our expectations, matched Karan in every scene and brought out the best of DMG we had ever seen. Her expressions flowed impeccably, changed with the blink of an eye. KASU were like fire and heat, they increased the on-screen temperature with sizzling chemistry and awesomely natural acting skills. It was like they were meant to be together, like AR could be in no other way, than the way KASU portrayed them. This was their time. This was their moment. And this, my friends, is called "creating history".
Sukirti, it seems, was physically incapable of the unbeautiful. She could enact a "gabbar" but couldn't make it anything other than beautiful. She was doomed to beauty, condemned to beauty, shackled to beauty. Suku appeared to act without preparation, without rehearsal; almost impromptu. As she did so, she created magic and touched the hearts. She did things that delighted because they were so sweetly inevitable and others that thrilled by their unexpectedness. She excelled at almost all the scenes and it would be imprudent to not to mention: she carried off the emotional scenes too flalwlessly to believe that she was acting. Nobody else acts like that. Nobody else could. Beauty is not her aim, of course it isn't, but if you are condemned to the beautiful, beauty is the way you must live.
Sukirti hasn't had a great time with the bashers. But she has always welcomed her viewers and thanked them for sticking with her. Suku has personified every 'if' Rudyard Kipling could possibly throw at her. She has personified everything that the real Riddhima should be - talented, honest, humble and beautiful. Sukirti has achieved immortality in the hearts of all who've seen this curly-haired girl next door become the sentimental darling of our hearts. 😊
