Dear all,
This is my first time here and possibly the last. The reason I was compelled here and tempted to say a few words are mainly because of my beloved daughter who past away, beginning of this year. She had always talked about this serial and as I may say obsessively mention Armaan in one way or the other in our conversation. For it was This character who brought back my daughters life as she religiously would watch the show and countlessly watch him and his love story blossom before her. She would always talk about Armaan and how his character grew from being a so-called insensitive only child 'brat' to a sensible matured Grown man.
It has taken a lot of courage for me to actually speak my heart, almost 6months for catch up with this serial and understand what was so special other this person my daughter had obsessively had fallen in love. I have as a matter of factly glanced over a few topics here in this forum and put in into consideration that everyone has grouped themselves and somewhat gone against each group according to how the story in the serial seems to be developing.
To some extent, I guess everyone is right in their manner how they feel.
Having been so intrigued with Armaan's character, I would in his defense say he has acted and reacted throughout the process of bringing Siddhant and Riddhima together very maturely without a denial. Most people find it extremely difficult having to think that but for him to go out of his way to help his love of his life's husband to understand and know her likes and dislikes, find different ways to get close to her beit in a childish/humourous way.. He has proved how pure his love for Riddhima is baring in mind how previously he was once a playboy chasing girls with miniskirts and etc.
With this new character Shilpa now into the show, will only 'try' and help him to overcome the biggest loss in his life, whether people consider leaving her earlier all alone was his mistake or sacrifice, I believe he did what best suited at time, only thinking of her wellbeing than his own. Although, he will never be able to overcome the loss of his first love married to someone else, at least he will be able to move slightly in life.
As some will say, he's moved on as he's busy being fooled and played around by Shilpa, I would say, he's temporarily distracted trying to get rid of this 'con' away from his already 'confusing' life, which are helping him think what he wants in life for himself. Having to watch immature antics by the both- one could say that's the directors way of entertaining the audience!
I would think, if my beloved daughter was alive today- she would have said the same or more or less the same.
From what Armaan initially was the selfish carefree guy he's more of a selfless helpful guy who thinks about others before himself. Due to which, most of the confusion and dismay in his life have formed.
I Hope I have not insulted anyone along the line, offended anyones feelings as it was not my intention. Having missing my daughter today, I wanted to convey my message, as I believe my daughter would have written. 6months into her murder by her ruthless mother in law, I have grown to love the things she once found amusing. Once a member of this forum too, by the name of *armaania* as vividly as I can remember.
