all of a sudden when he finds out that the girl is sadhna he starts blaming alekh and gets out of control when first when he did not know who it was he was giving him this fake speach about how life and death is not in one's hand and let the soul escape and shit!

uh that's reality, when it comes to ur own everything goes out the window, he doesn't mean wot he is saying though, it's just the shock makes ppl do crazy things, he is not in his right mind right now

Thats human psychology...u cant expect a father to give a speech and not crying his heart out when he sees his daughter dead in front of him. For mamaji, Sdahna was never a niece, but a daughter.

I agree with you. Its very easy to lecture others but when it comes to own people its really hard. Apna khoon apna hi hota hai. Mamaji was so out of control. He was only acting like a father, not a sasur where as Vasu was like a mother and saas in that scene. Her expressions were brilliant.

yes she is like his daughter and will cry his heart out, but there is such thing called empathy, when he saw sum random gril wid a husband he was very calm and composed and started giving a speech! i mean wat right does he have to tell sumone to not be upset?? that is just dumb, he has no empathy, and when he found out it was sadhna he lost his mind, if this was sum random girl she wud have a father also that wud go nuts seeing her dead body! he has no right to give a dumb speech on such an occasion!!

i think they wanted to show the difference - in approaching something theoretically and emotionally. when the distance is there, its easy to do what you think is *correct*, when the distance closes, you basically run on auto, letting your emotions run wild. in fact, this was beautifully brought out.

and like bani so wisely said, eventually it will be mamji who will help alekh make his peace with this calamity.

Well are we in the same position, I mean we are telling mamaji that hey if it was some other's daughter you were giving lecture and now that its urs going all wack! Stop being a hypocrite I mean, easier judged than done right.

i am sorry,how am i being the same?? if i saw a dead wife with a husband i wud cry and get emotional i might even pat the guy from behind to give support rather then being an idiot and givng a lecture, as if the husband does not know how death works! geez!
