Sun Tv's new music contest - Sangeetha Maha Yutham

6 Teams

6 Cine Singers - Each leads a team of three aspiring young singers

Vijay Yesudas - Madurai Veerargal

Madhu BalaKrishnan - Thanjai Thalapathigal

Devan - Chennai Singangal

Mathangi - Kovai Killadigal

Anupama - Nellai Sooravali

Srilekha Parthasarathy - Thiruchi Thimingalangal

Lead singers will act as judge for the participating teams in an episode ..

Starts 26 June 2010 ! Will update the teams as soon as i see the promo 😳 !!

- Kovai Killadigal will be led by Mathangi (Sponsored by Amul)-

- Nellai Suraveli will be led Srilekha Parthsarathy (Sponsored by Nestle)

- Chennai Singangal will be led by Annupama

Chinmayi started the show with Varayo Varayo - she won the Best Female Playback singer for Varayo Varayo this year at the Vijay awards. 👏

Wow.... Great, we have a separate thread for this show!. Thanks Laksh & Sri.

Actually this is one show, which I enjoy watching it along with my daughter.

B'coz we were gone out on Vacation last week, we missed the show on both 3/7 & 4/7/10. When I tried a few you tube links (by googling) it didn't work that good.

Can some one please help me by giving out the links to catch these 2 episodes that we missed?!

Thanjai Thalapathigal is my favourite team (obv. from my signature)! Madhu's excellent and they deliever so much more in the Sangamam Round performance when they come together as a team. Their next match is against Chennai Singangal (next week) and from what I've heard Chennai Singangal did not perform as well as the Tirichi Thimingalangal to get the same score. It's anyone's game but I will give an edge to Thanjai's team for their outstanding team performance!

Other teams to watch out for - Srilekha's Tirichi Thimingalangal and Anupama's Nellai Sooravali (Kousshik Ram - he's brilliant and may get this team through).

@Supree .. Aww .. it happens sometimes for me too .. so nowadays ushaaraa , naan copy panniduren ..

Last week , Devan & Srilekha's team match is a tie ..

@Sri .. yep .. Thanjai Thalapathigal is my fav team too .. Tht lil one did a real good job .. i just love Madhu's voice .. so mesmerizing .. And is not overconfident too .. tht guy in the team was lil nervous .. hope he'll perform better in the coming episodes ..
