I think its good that he is playing this role. Its realistic, why does it have to be a smart looking , handsome guy ( in our perspective to play opp. to any lead actress)

I mean its awesome that , shamad is being played by this guys. He suits the role really well. And its good that for once we have some realism going, we need to step out of our own prejudices as what 'beautiful or handsome' is.

May be he will turn out to be a gem.

I think the entire Shamardas and Aakashi track is the most realistic out of Behenein!

Why should always a good-looking, chocolate faced guy play the lead opposite the heroin?

The makers have deliberately kept someone like Manoj Mishra in this role, because he really suits the character! Shamardas is a rough, uncultured and illiterate man...if you notice carefully, you'll see that the actor is not all that bad-looking, its just his make-up and clothes and his dialouges that make him look so repulsive! This is actually a compliment to his skills as an actor!

I think he is doing a great job!

the actor is actually really GREAT...he's very talented...but i still want another person ONLY BECAUSE he doesnt look gud wid akashi....like for a couple to look good together, they have to look "made for each other" or some kinda chemistry rite? i dnt feel it between them yet...like shamaldas looks a bit older & akashi very young...thts the only reason y i chose yes...otherwise i love the actor who plays shamaldas, he's very talented

plz remmber love story doesnt have to be always between gud looking ppl...exterior is not the human's fault it is wat god gave us...so plz refrain from commenting on it...it very very rude...i m sure u wudn't like it if ppl say u dont fit well with ur hubby or wife becuase u r not gud looking.

shyamaldas n akashi has its allure because of the guy playing the role...especially since both are fresh faces sort of and not the regular ones. their storyline is the best and most authentic.
