He was watching both of them through the gap in the door…

Arjun raised his hand to slap her. His eyes overflowed with anger and her eyes in fear of the awaiting pain…
But he was watching through the gap in the door, and at the right moment, he rushed in and held Arjun's raised hand.
Dev: ARJUN! How dare you raise you hand on my fianc?
He pulled Arjun's hand away and punched him one in the stomach.
Arjun winced in pain, and as per plan, punched Dev one in the stomach.
The boxing match continued for a couple of hits and then Radhika decided that enough was enough, and pulled with all her strength at Dev's arms and dragged him to the side.
She was terrified… She had just seen Dev's violent side. Instead of talking to any of them, she walked off, giving both a dirty look.
She went downstairs after cleaning up and informed everyone that she was going to the Mandir, but didn't know what time she would be back.
She reached the Mandir and went to the empty space near the river bank.
There was a strong wind blowing and the trees rustled in the wind creating a strange atmosphere. She went as far away from the Mandir as she could and sat by the river bank.
She was thinking about everything. Her life, what she wanted to do – to become a doctor and hen her mind rested on the topic of marriage.
She didn't want to get married yet, hell this marriage was happening without her opinion!
But she admitted that Dev was different, different to any boy she'd ever met…
His touch was different, it extinguished the flames all over her skin… but.
But, but she saw his violent side… and it wasn't pretty.
And she wasn't some dumb nave girl either!
She could stick up for herself, heck she could! She was a strong person! So what was the need for all the violence?
Screw the idea of acting soft! She was going to turn into her normal, un-nave self.
Then….
This argument inside her head may have sounded stupid, but it would determine a lot of things…
Meanwhile, Radhika's mehendhi function was going to start in approximately 3 hours, but she (Radhika) was no where to be seen…

Dev and Arjun were secretly talking between themselves:
A- s***, that wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to go crying to you…
D- I know… crap. What do we do now…
A- I dunno, just wait and watch…

Radhika came back, and it was only 2 ours left till her function. She avoided all questions and went straight into her room to think.
R(thinking)- what is going on…. Ughh I don't know… why am I getting married? No one has asked me even if I WANT to get married… heck. I have my whole career to start in India… Ugh… if only I knew that I was going to be got rid of so quickly, then I wouldn't have come back to India… I miss US. I miss it loads… my freedom, my friends, my life… And here I am in India, destroying my life my getting married to an idiot… Ugh… I hate it. I hate men who treat women like they're some vulnerable thing… I hate men who treat women like they need protecting from each and every little thing. Gosh. I'm not a baby… what was the need for Dev to beat up Arjun? All that violence, all that anger? Why am I ruining my life? ……

MEANWHILE (AT THE SAME TIME AS RADS IS THINKING)
D(thinking)- why am I feeling like this? Radhika has been away for a couple of hours and I am feeling this strange kind of emptiness in my soul… this pain is unbearable… but why? I have never felt like this before… so why now? I know that this pain is because of Radhika… but why is it happening… I shouldn't be feeling pain from her, I need to GIVE her pain… then… but… oh no…
He realised it then. No wonder Radhika's each touch made him shiver. No wonder her laughter made him happy and her frown made him sad… he LOVED her.
D(to himself)- Love? It can't be. I love ANGEL. ANGEL! NOT Radhika! Radhika has caused ME pain, I can't love her… it's lust… yes… just lust…
He tried convincing himself, his mind was convinced, but his heart thought differently…

Radhika- I know who can help me… Angel… I'll ring her now…
Radhika managed to find her iPhone in the mess of her wardrobe and quickly dialled the number….
Angel picked up; RADHIKA!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!! I have AMAZING NEWS!!
R- huh?
Angel: RADS!! I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
R- WHAT!!! REALLY!!! EEEEEEP!!! OMG!!! How many months????
A- 2!!!!!
R- And you didn't tell me???
A- Stupid, I found out today!!!
R- OMG!! ANGEL I'M SOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT!!!
In her mind, Radhika thought not to stress Angel out with her problems, and decided not to tell her.

Vaishali and Devaki: RADHIKA!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!! You need to get ready!!!
Radhika sighed. She NEEDED to talk to Dev NOW.
R- Yes mom, I'm getting ready…

She straightened herself and proceeded out the door. There, Dev was waiting for her.
D- We have to go down together.
Radhika thought for a minute. She remembered her promise to herself: to become her normal self again and stop being soft and acting un-nave,
R- And if I don't want to?
She said with as much attitude as possible to the man she was on the verge of hating.
She glided down the stairs, leaving a shocked Dev staring and admiring her back.
D- Wow. She has got a really nice body… he said to himself… daydreaming.

She reached the bottom of the stairs and was met by Vishaka, who was burning in jealousy over the fact that Radhika, her YOUNGER sister, was getting married to HER love….
She grabbed Radhika's arm, before anyone saw her, dragged her to a secluded corner.
V: Remember what I told you, Radhika? I told you to KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF Dev… and what do you do? You decide to get married to him? Shameful woman… Watch it you b****. You think you can steal MY love and get away with it? Just wait and watch. Just wait and see my plan. Wait and watch my wedding the day after tomorrow. MY wedding, NOT yours.
R: Speak softly Vishaka. You don't want everyone to find out about yourplans, do you?
Radhika spoke in such a cool way, and with attitude that it shocked Vishaka to her wits…
Mrinalini saw Radhika, and called her over… Dev saw them, and stood silently behind both of them…
M: Radhika you look sooo pretty!!!
Dev in his mind, 'well she IS my bride…
R: Thanks bhabhi, but also, you are looking pretty amazing yourself, especially with your glowing face… Radhika said, teasing her a bit…
Dev in mind: 'Radhika, you know how to make people feel good…'
R: Bhabhi, how many months pregnant are you?!
M: Sirf… um 5 months…
R: Wow! You are doing really well for 5 months, Radhika the doctor, told her…
