It does seem like its Sharad...the rapist had something around his wrist...I want go back and check if Sharad also had that around his wrist....and of course, his clothes! had a question, if they found mukti on the couch, who brought her back to the couch after she was raped...while she was hypnotised, we see the rapist leave...so wasn't she found on the couch???
