Thoughts on this season's conclusion.

Hi people!

I haven't really posted in this forum much at all, but I do visit here from time to time. Anyways, today's episode really touched me so I wanted to make a post.

I have some thoughts regarding today's episode as well as how I'd like this season to conclude.

Today's end scene with Rohan and Isha really touched me. I think today's episode really showed us why Rohan is the way he is. It kind of brought us full circle from the first episode.

I still remember that what I liked most about the first episode of Rishta.com was the end scene where we got perspectives of both Isha and Rohan regarding their views on relationships. While Isha believed in long term relationships and love, Rohan did not.

And I remember thinking from that initial episode, that I would like to see if and how Rohan and Isha's perspectives change or develop as the show progresses.

And today's episode really gave us a background to this perspective of Rohan's. All his life he has seen his parents fighting and arguing. I mean, for most kids (at least for me) parents form an example of how you'd like relationships in your own life to be. What I mean is, that when I look at my own parents, I want that for myself. I see my parents supporting each other throughout their lives, and I think ki THAT'S what a relationship should be like. That's what marriage is to me. So I believe in love and marriage and commitment.

But to someone like Rohan, who has only seen his parents fighting and never getting along, his idea of a marriage and commitment would be totally different. And so it makes sense as to why he doesn't believe in long term relationships. Perhaps we can assume that he's afraid of them?

Even in today's episode, one line really stayed with me where Rohan mentions that his parents aren't bad people. So it's understandable that he doesn't believe in relationships. I mean he has seen, two good people who when together are not so nice. And it's just the opposite of what love should be no? Love between two people should make them stronger and better people, but instead with Rohan's parents it was totally the opposite! So it's really no surprise that this guy doesn't believe in true love! When he believes that love makes two people worse instead of better, you can really get where Rohan's coming from with this perspective of his.

And this little moment of Rohan's REALLY made me feel for him. It just made me really sad inside to see this side of Rohan.

So what I'd really like to see in the remaining episodes of this season is to see whether and if Rohan's perspective on love changes. And I'd like Isha to play a role in this. I think everytime Rohan's had even a slightest of doubt about his perspective on love, it has been because of Isha. They are both totally opposite and I think there have been moments where Rohan has almost been compelled to believe in Isha's perspective on love. Maybe I'm thinking to much into this...😆 but I'd like to see Isha play a role in this.

I mean, nothing in this show has ever been obvious. It's always been subtle and left to our interpretations which is what I LOVE about this show! But I think we have seen a connection between Rohan and Isha...it has been very gradual and subtle but I think we have seen it. And last week's flashback episode confirmed this even further!

And so in the remaining episodes, I'd like to see a development in both Isha and Rohan's perspective on love from the first episode. I think that was kind of the point of the show too. To see how Rohan and Isha observe all the relationships around them, including their own families and their own perspectives on love change as a result.

While Isha has had a very fairy tale, happy perspective on love from the initial episodes, I think we've seen it develop into a more realistic perspective. This is both because of Rohan's presence and by observing other relationships in her life I think, such as her dad's. So I'd like to see how maybe Rohan plays a part in her belief in love as the season ends. Similarly, I'd like to see how Isha plays a role in Rohan's belief in love.

I'm not saying that Rohan and Isha should get together by the end of the season necessarily, because I think that would be too hurried at this point given that the season is ending soon. But I'd just like to see a hint, or a moment between the two that makes them rethink their perspectives, their thoughts on love. A moment which makes them BOTH believe in love, reflect back upon their own life...and I don't know... I guess just admit to each other that their presence in each other's lives is special.

I don't know...maybe I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, but that last scene where Isha sweetly places a comforting hand on Rohan's made me want to root for them even more! 😍 😆 I just think they need each other. They're meant to be, and I would just like to see a hint of this as the season ends cuz MAN I'm REALLY rooting for these two more than ever now! 😍 😆

I really REALLY love this show! I gotta admit this show took a while to grow on me, but now that it has, I LOVE it completely! The writer of this show seriously deserves to tell his story! Here's hoping for a season 2 still! :)

Hats off to u first..
U wrote exactly what was going on in my mind..
So I don't need to write any further.. U expressed all I wanted to say beautifully..

About the season's conclusion, I wanted something exactly like u said
"I'm not saying that Rohan and Isha should get together by the end of the season necessarily, because I think that would be too hurried at this point given that the season is ending soon. But I'd just like to see a hint, or a moment between the two that makes them rethink their perspectives, their thoughts on love. I think rohans presence in ishas life has made her think practically, earlier she thought every relation to have a fairytale happy ending ,which does not always happen..
N isha at many places managed to show Rohan that love does exist in the world although he hasn't been convinced much as yet..
As u wrote, I'd want to see Rohan change his perspective about love n isha should make him realize that..

I also wouldn't mind if they are a couple at the end if it's not hurried up.. I'd rather want them to have these little sweet moments often :)

Yes ur very right about the fact that Rohan is afraid of committment coz he has been seeing 2 nice individuals being ruined by marriage in his parents... My heart went out to him in the last scene...

Let's see what goes in the end but I know whatever the end is gonna be, I'm gonna love it for sure:)

here's wishing we have a season 2..

@cute2stay, change your ID to Cute2Write....just kidding.

Anyways, I like your analysis, except for one thing. You said that you like your parents as they have supported each other. So are you implying that Rohan's parents have not supported each other. In my mind it is obvious that they have been supportive of each other and at times argumentative. Different personalities brought together....no Rishta.Com at the time Rohan's parents got married...LOL.

Anyways, chances of Rohan and Isha getting are very slim, even in a show like this, as the character's brother is the writer and director of the show and would probably protect her sister, you know what I mean...😆

@sabkadost... about the pairing of rohan n isha that u said..i disagree..
the director is very professional n he would never compromise on the story of the show even if his sister is the lead.... If a romantic angle between rohan and isha is possible in a convincing way, then he would not drop it just coz of shruti being his sister......
but actually, there isnt much need of them being a pair so its ok both ways..:)

@cute2stay: Pallavi right? 😊

You honestly described my thoughts on this episode perfectly 😳 There were so many different emotions in this one (as usual) and as for your thoughts on the conclusion, I can't say I oppose your opinion, because I'm still undecided, after seeing today's episode, I wanna see RoSha together, but at the same time, I'm a sucker for the friendship and in case of a relationship not working out because of Rohan's lack of faith in commitment I don't want to see their friendship break, other than that I support each thing you pointed out😳
