Why is Roopa Ganguly listed as playing 'Kaushalya' in the show? I thought her name is Sumitra? I watch in the US and the subtitles always say 'Sumitra' when anyone refers to her. Can someone explain what's going on?

I also am very confused b/c I see the subtitles listing her as Sumitra too.

i dont know. at the zee tv website she is referrred to as kaushalya and articles and subtitles as sumitra.

well it really is sumitra. but I have been using Kaushalaya because we didn't know her name for veryy long in the show, they always just refereed her to badi thakurain. then i found her name kaushalaya from zee's website. so I used that. but then we finally heard her name in the show, sumitra. it was like after 6 months the show started, so I just sticked to kaushalaya in the updates. and this way her name becuase kaushalaya on this forum😆
