@the bold part: How is this relevant to Facebook and Mohmd issue?

One thing is pretty clear by looking at the protests in Pak and people chanting slogans there that they are willing to sacrifice their life for this cause, banners stating " we don't want democracy, we want islam", that not all people in this world desire same level of freedom, freedom of expression and rights.

The south park episode irked one community and they issued death threats, but why isn't it acceptable that it can also irk other set of people whose freedom of expression has been curbed due to appeasement by the media house. Why can't they protest in the manner they want? At least they are not issuing death threats to anyone!

People are entitled to have their different definition of worship and appreciation. You may say that it is you who believes that God deserves to be worshipped and that is full stop for you and non negotiable for you as a person. But it may not be a full stop for others, if they wish they can worship the creation.

Why is it relevant to the issue – because the issue is about one group wanting the right to express themselves, and another group trying to control or change that expression. And then the continuation of it.

My point throughout has been that curbing of speech is a dangerous precedent, as well as that you cannot hold 'media' culpable for what is being transmitted. I agree with you fully that no person, religion, community, group etc is above criticism or free speech as far as the matter goes. That being said just as there is a right to offend, there is a right to appease and serve ones interests too. I'm not against any side's right to protest (within democratic definitions though, I do not consider 'death threats' as protest but as a felony offense), nor am I against any group or community or what they believe or think on issues (irrespective of what my own beliefs are).

Most importantly, the internet is the largest, dynamic and most unique channel of free speech. No firewall can contain the internet, and one channel closed means another opens. Everyone should hold that in perspective.

These days with Google maps I can even see a picture of my house, and I can view it from many angles. Soon none can hide anywhere.

I viewed my little house from Google earth and from one angle I saw my lingerie on the washing line. Totally embarrassing.
