How foolish to show an educated working girl telling her husband to take the day off on the second day of his new (presumably professional) job, that too not for a family emergency but a lunch with friends. Which idiot family will insist on working people coming to lunch on a weekday? If Simi didn't like to go without hubby, can't the two of them skip the lunch and go over in the evening to see the Mathurs, that would have been the polite and sensible thing to do. Btw it is all the more important for Simi to go to work not lunches coz she has taken an advance.
