Yes, the fact that the Cvs were coming up with ridiculous storylines is definitely one of the reasons. But the on-going track is actually an amazing one. Sajan are going to emerge as a stronger couple after this and Mayur are going through something which is very realistic.
The reason why we don't feel the same passion for MJHT any longer is because we've gotten too used to it. When a show is new, its fresh, the characters are unfamiliar and its something we are not used to. Hence, we enjoy the novelty of the characters, exploring them, getting to know them. After 250-300 episodes, nothing is fresh. We are far too used to the characters and the show. Hence, no matter how much the Cvs try, we get bored as, no matter what the storyline is, we are far too used to the show. We don't find anything novel and new.
A lot of us have various suggestions as to what the Cvs can show, but that may not hold our attention when its actually happening on-screen.
I can bet that if we were to be shown this track some 200 episodes back we would've loved it.
So its not the Cvs who are making the show lose its charm. Its just the fact that MJHT is no longer a fresh show. However, its at the peak of its popularity still. Hence, its a good time to end the show right now rather than when the audience gets totally bored of the characters.

i kind of agree with you but also disagree
mjht has def lost charm bcoz its not fresh anymore but the credit of making it commonplace also goes to handling of storylines rather than storylines itself. th tracks have been pretty decent

but an old show neednt lose its charm in less than 2 years esp when the original cart is stil around and popular.
eg- friends which ran in seasons for years

and however much you want to ignore it, kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi which lasted for 7-8 years. as someone who watched it regularly, it was good for almost 4-5 years. atleast it didnt look stale .

mjht has much more potential. maybe it shud take a summer break for 3 months and come back.

I agree with you.. unless they are able to bring back their witty dialogues and cut out the extra drama of the show.. only then it might be able to survive.. i was all up for mjht till mayur's marriage. but after the marriage track things just got too serious for a young aged crowd.

I was actually watching some of the old scenes of how Samrat and Gunjan met and how she was really afraid of everyone before and how he helped her combat her fear. And Nupur and Mayank's road trip and her Maya Pari burning and etc etc. I loved the show back then...But ever since the baby track, I've just watched it on youtube and literally just scanned the episode, looking for Benji and Dia. So it is here I think that you make a good point. The reason so many people love Benji and Dia is (of course they are really unconventional and adorable but also) because they are new. The novelty of this jodi has not ended yet (in fact it has not even started as technically they aren't even a jodi yet). We have seen lots of ups and downs in the other lead couples. I still love the characters. But I think Indian soaps need to have seasons of shows instead of having them all year round. I think the actors and crew members need a break and the audience needs to separate from their favourite characters so they can anticipate the new season. That makes them more excited for the next season. I mean, imagine if school was year round. I don't mean to compare school to this show but a break from anything is never a bad thing. I no longer watch this show (I guess I'm not as loyal as most are) - I watch all the Yash Raj shows instead and although they are ending soon due to low ratings, somewhere a tiny part of me is glad that they will end instead of being stretched like elastic bands for 2, 3, 5, maybe even 10 years. I watched Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and I remember only watching it for Lakshya and Krishna Tulsi. As soon as their jodi ended and their novely worn off, I got sick of the show and stopped watching it. But I do skim through the forum to find out what's going on. Unfortunately, I do agree that Miley Jab Hum Tum has lost at least some of its charm somewhere down the road. But I will never forget this show. It was really an awesome fresh show when it started. Perhaps it would be a good time to end it sooner than later. I mean, all good things must come to an end, right? I would hate for this show to become another Dil Mil Gaye.

Yes, I agree somewhat. I think ur right about it's freshness. There was more innocence before and now that innocence is gone. It went somewhere as soon as Suhaani entered the picture. But I don't agree that it's lost it's charm. The charm has changed... Previously, it used to be the innocence n now it is the close bonding of all the mjht characters! I don't at all think that mjht has lost it's charm!

Oh god! I am so happy to see such a response to my thread. Since there are so many of you saying the same things, I'll address you individually.
@to those who think MJHT has not lost its charm: Well thats your opinion and I respect that. I feel its not what it used to be but I can assure you that its still my favourite show!
@to those who think I should not have made this topic: I am sorry, guys. I guess I didn't read the forum rules carefully. I didn't know that I wasn't allowed to air my opinion.
@to those who have been hurt because I said MJHT should end: Guys, please don't take it in the wrong sense. I am a huge fan of MJHT. I don't want it to become annoying and unbearable like DMG. I don't want it to be remembered as a show which started off well but turned into crap. I want it to be remembered as a good series like Remix. Remix went off-air at the correct time. It was popular when it ended. Same with MJHT. It has to end some day. It can't go on forever. So why wait for a time when it loses audience? As long as Cvs have a story to tell, not a problem. It can go on. But Cvs should not tell a story just to keep it on-air! Thats what I felt with the baby-track. It was nice, humorous and entertaining to start off with. Then it dragged a lot! I don't want this show to become dragging.
@to people who support me: Thanks guys!

P.S. I guess most people interpreted my post wrongly! I maintain that MJHT is the best show on TV and I still don't miss even an episode.

Exactly...well said gins...

Well I don't think it says anywhere in the forum rules that I should not make topics. If you find it stupid thats your problem not mine. I will make a topic if I feel like. You are inclined to your opinion and I am inclined to mine. I respect your feelings and I expect the same from you. You have no right to tell me whether I should make a particular topic or not. That's the moderators job not yours. So please be a little more civil.
