My guess at how Rohan and Isha knew...I think Mihir told them (as he'd said he would) that he didn't want to see other girls and Husna was the one he'd like to pursue. So they definitely got the heads-up there that he was serious about her and maybe they thought that catalyzing the art-gallery situation would cause Husna to realize in juxtaposition who she really cared for, which was Mihir. Maybe they were acting on instincts, or maybe they were just bluffing π
I don't think it was so much fickle as being indecisive...for Husna. When I watched the episode at first and when they introduced Mihir and Vidhaant I immediately found Mihir's character down to earth. When Mihir asks Husna how come she's so quiet...in comparison to Vidhaant who comments he's talking more that usual again...it felt like with Mihir, Husna was more at ease, and comfortable...and with Vidhaant it was always she was trying to impress him...the comment about make-up and him liking girls that take care of themselves because to him appearances are important. I think this is what Isha and Rohan could have also sensed or observed during the original meetings.
I think Husna couldn't decide which once she could definitely not do without, till Isha helped her along and removed the guys from the situation. I think for Husna, Vidhaant was this cool, fancing, charming guy that she was infatuated with, whereas Mihir was the guy you can rely on and is understanding, simple but someone who often gets taken granted of...if that makes sense...
