@Smita ji, since we were talking abt Chinese and the whole cyber warfare thing...there was this session today at the conference dedicated to "Deception Operations" and one of the speakers based his talk on this book called "The Dragon's Quantum Leap"..this book talks all abt the Chinese Information/Cyber/Electronic Warfare. Give it a try, if u r interested 😃

Thanks I will buy that.. at one point I wanted to do masters in information security specializing in cryptography...but life happened and I don't care enough anymore😔

We are talking about talk shows ,some of them which have loons like Zaid hamid.
Mr veritas knows more about what is happening in Pakistan than India.
Did I tell you he is seriously smitten with Mossad...although I have to say those guys are cool

I don't think the book is available at stores. It's a DoD book I think. But I'll PM u an email ID, it's the guy who wrote the book and was giving this talk too...He's a director at DoD. He said "email with ur addresses and I'll mail the books". I guess they have a whole bunch of books just stored in their closets and everywhere it seems.

Cool...I would also love to watch such shows..Send me the names/channels. And it is always good to know abt whats up with the neighbours 😆 Mossad ... hmm sounds interesting, there was a time in high school days when I was smitten by Laden and tried to read everything I could abt him 😉

A few years ago some universities
were working on Quantum Cryptography to enable more secure communications...what new stuff did they come up with.

A few years ago some universities
were working on Quantum Cryptography to enable more secure communications...what new stuff did they come up with.

There were a lot of interesting stuff, but not into great detail as it was unclassified conference and there is a certain limit of info they can give out. There was a session on "Social Media and intelligence" and one on "4G warfare". Then one session on deception operations. The last thing today were two parallel sessions on "Critical Infrastructure" and "Iraqi perspective of US attacks" We attended the critical infrastructure thing...it was a kind of case study of a cyber attack that this research firm launched on the city of seattle and how it effected the ppl/gov there.
"Social Media and Intelligence" was pretty cool..One among the panelists was Chief Security Officer from Facebook, and the VP of Google and a bunch of other ppl from DoD and their Social Analysis Agencies. There were a bunch of High Schoolers in the audience and those kids actually grilled the Facebook guy on various things. They were pretty awesome with their questions 😃
