May 4th : Jamu's diagnosis poisoning, not rock!

Missed the May 3 episode , although caught a small part - an attempt on Jamu, and the assailent flees, w/ all servants behind him, but escapes. Bali & Avadh discuss how insecure it is, and how anybody can enter & leave @ will.

Note - Gajraj is out of town, on a pilgrimage to pray for the recovery of Jamu. 😳

As Jai is looking helplessly @ Jamu, he notices a black armband, and recognizes it as being given by Girija maiya to every member of the family. He therefore recognizes that the culprit is from among them. 😲

He goes to Rakishore - Kuber's father - and confides in him, 😕 since he has no one else he can take into absolute confidence, and shows him the evidence. Rakishore advises him to proceed very carefully. He tells him to carefully examine the arms of every member of the family, and the one from whom it's missing is probably the culprit. 👍🏼

As Jai returns, Ramlali tries to butter him up, and he recognizes her concern as fraudulent and goes away from there w/o a word. Ramlali goes in and coaches Batori some more. 🤢🤢

Jai goes into Avadh's room, and sees that he's already dressed. Jai encourages him to wear a more suitable shirt, and Avadh agrees. Jai notices the band on Avadh and is relieved that it's not him. 😊

Batori comes out and decides to seduce Jai by sitting down and reading a newspaper out aloud. 🤣 When Jai passes her, he takes the paper, pointing out to her that she was reading it upside down 😆😆 He notices a big ad there, which says that a famous vaid will be in town today. Avadh calls him from his bike and tells him the same thing, and Jai and Avadh decide to fetch him. Jai leaves w/ the paper, leaving Batori peeved. 🤣🤣

OTOH, Chatori is walking down the hallway when she runs into Radharani, who scolds her when she tries to take an apple. He explains that it's for Adesh, Bali's younger bro. Chatori is excited that there is yet another guy, and follows Radharani into his room. After introducing themselves, Chatori asks Adesh his interests, and he is specific about his likes & dislikes, and Chatori pretends that they co-incide w/ hers. Adesh is thrilled, and so is Chatori, that having befriended Adesh, she might be able to marry him, and be a tenant of the haveli.

The vaid comes, and examines Jamu, in the presence of all of them. He tells Jai that the dark veins on Jamu are symptoms that she's been poisoned, not the result of a rock hitting her head. He tells her that a blood test would confirm that if they went to a Western medicine doctor. He tells him that ayurvedic medicine can cure her, but not Western. He says it's a miracle that she's still alive - probably her vibrant youth. Everyone is shocked @ this revealation of her poisoning.


Harihar is out on his surya-vandana puja, and Jai spots him from a distance. He notices that he does not have his armband. Jai is shocked and reveals this to Rakishore, telling him that it seems that Harihar uncle is w/o doubt the plotter behind all these.


The mystery aspect of the serial has dragged on long enough, but finally seems to be getting somewhere. I thought it rather imprudent of Jai to go to Rakishore w/ this: if Rakishore had been the culprit, he'd be playing into his hands. Theoretically, he can't trust anyone but dao sahib.

Ramlali & Batori is getting old, but today, the Chatori-Adesh segment provided entertainment. Chatori seems to be as dim as her parents - she was clueless that Adesh is mentally challenged. So she goes ahead and seduces him - it would be funny if he caught her lying about her sharing his likes & dislikes. Still, if Adesh is younger to Jai, I wouldn't mind him getting Chatori, as she would be below Jamu in rank, and not capable of abusing her stature wise. Also, it would be funny if she got married to this guy, and I can see Bodhan being too happy to sell her to Gajraj, since she is not his daughter, while Lakhan & Shivkali may not be bright enough to figure out that Adesh is a mental patient, and may acquiesce to Chatori marrying her. Actually, this is one jodi I might root for 😈

The vaid's diagnosis was revealing. So the stone may have been thrown by Kuber, or Harihar might have got hold of it somehow and dropped it to incriminate him. But since then, he's probably seen to it that Jamu was poisoned. Although, while Harihar may have made this attempt, couldn't Batori have been behind the poisoning, since she's out to get Jai for herself? I know she doesn't have kitchen access, but what if somehow she did? Maybe w/ Harihar's help? Presumably, Jai will verify that Bali & Adesh still have their armbands.

Jai would do well to wait until Gajraj is back before revealing to him what he found out. He has to tread very carefully, or he risks angering Avadh, and who knows how Bali might react

Thanks Vrisha. This is interesting turn of events with vaidya's revelation. So 2 different parties maybe trying to harm Jamu. One is the physical variety, rock throwing and attempted strangling and the other is poisoning😲

Jai was very immature to trust the neighbor uncle as he is also Kuber's dad😕 Did he forget that he found Kuber's chain in the bushes😕

Chatori and Bhatori are really desperate to be brides at the haveli😆 Aadesh is elder to Jai as Jai called him Aadesh bhaiya. Jai is the baby of the family. Aadesh and Chatori make a cute couple.

The poisoning & the strangulation are both inside jobs - by Harihar by the look of it. The rock may have been Kuber, or that guard.

If Adesh is older than Jai, I'm against his jodi w/ Chatori, since that would give Chatori seniority over Jamu. Although I think that by herself, Chatori ain't as evil as Batori - she is just driven by Batori, who is her elder. But if kept busy w/ Adesh.... Otherwise, if they take Chatori only as a fallback option, but keep Jamu as the chief bahu, I'm fine w/ it. It'll be fun to have Chatori having to entertain Adesh 24/7, while Batori is @ home doing chores - Ramlali will force her. 🤣 Also, we've seen how possessive Adesh is about brides - once he marries Chatori, he'll be obsessed w/ her 🤣

Also, what are Ramlali, Shivkali, Batori & Chatori doing there all these days? It's not like they're looking after Jamu or anything. I mean, yeah, they're trying to seduce any of the guys (hey, Batori, try Radharani 🤣🤣) - but what's the official reason they gave? Also, maybe the girls could try seducing the guys, since none of the family members seem to be falling for them.

If Harihar is the culprit, he could have done it all, the poisoning, the attempt to strangle Jamu , and he could have hired somebody to throw the rock too. He dropped Kuber's chain to implicate Kuber in the crime.

But what would be his motive? He wants waris of his own through Awadh , but not his nephews. But his bahu, Chutki also died. Who killed her?

yeah now that they are moving story to different directions, i somehow feel that it must be rakkishore and Kuber's plotting since no one in the family would think that raj kishore is culprit, and as jai came to him and shared all his feelings after Gajraj.. Lets see how it goes...

I also thought Rakishore at first but I am not sure now.😕 Jai should not have confided in him. RK could have easily taken the taveez from someone and dropped it there too.

The mystery will be revealed soon. So let's see where the CVs are going with this.

I forgot to mention something. Last week, when Batori & Chatori told their moms respectively that they wanted to marry into this haveli, they were told by their moms that it was cursed. So they then told them that instead of marrying, they'd want to co-habit w/ the guys in this haveli, & Ramlali & Shivkali instantly agreed. 🤣 In other words, instead of trying to persuade them to find safer but respectable households where they could marry into and not be in fear of their lives, the 2 mamis are perfectly fine w/ their daughters living like p🤬 in this haveli itself. 🤣

Incidentally, is the chief bahu of a household the woman who was first married into it, or the wife of the eldest son? In other words, would Jamu be the chief bahu as a result of being the first to marry, or if Bali re-married, would his wife automatically take preference? If the former, it would not be a bad idea for Batori & Chatori to marry here - Chatori w/ Adesh, and Batori w/ Avadh.

One thing - if later, Jai confides something to Rakishore and somebody makes another attempt made on this info that only Rakishore could know, aside from Jai, that would tell him this secret.

Vrisha, the mamis don't care how the daughters live in the haveli , as wives or some other means as long as they get the wealth😆 Hmm, I don't know about the seniority question, Jamu because she married first or the other guys' future wives since they are older.

Jai's dad should not be missing at this critical time. He is the only one that is trustworthy. For him to go now on yatra at this time is strange. The actor must be gone for some reason😕 They never followed up with Kuber's gold chain😕

Gajraj is not Jai's dad, he's the mama of Jai, just like Bodhan is of Jamu. Like in the case of Jamu, Jai too lost his parents, and his mama (mom's bro) takes care of him. It's an interesting contrast b/w Gajraj & Bodhan

I knew that Gajraj was not Jai's real dad, I thought that he was his kaka, not Mama😆 He adopted him.
