Last night on Popkorn(Zoom) they featured Kuljeet's costars and friends talking about her. There was Gauri Paradhan, looking quite shaken and saying,"It is too painful to talk about. Just yesterday we returned from the funeral. Though our association was short, it was good."
I must say Gauri is one good human being. Though it is well-known that she and Kuljeet had problems (but Kuljeet did say later that Gauri was a helpful person), she was one of the very few TV stars to turn up for her funeral.
Amit Sadh also spoke breifly about her, to the effect that she was very professional, and it is always sad to know of such a thing happening to anyone.
Then they showed Ankur. He was speaking very fondly of her, and there was a hint of a sad smile on his face as he said,"Whatever time i spent with her, i learnt a lot from her--whether it was her professionalism or her passion for her work." I'm glad Kuljeet and Ankur were friends. Ironically, i did not know this when she was alive.
Mini Mathur concluded by saying that she knew Kuljeet well and she hoped she had at last found what she was searching for.
They had interspersed the comments with shots of Kuljeet at parties and on the sets, mostly smiling and laughing. in one shot, she was laughing so hard that she had to clutch hr stomach. It was a strange feeling looking at those shots--to see someone look so much alive, abut to know that she is no more.....
May God bless her soul...
