It is a completely original film. It doesn't borrow from any movie, old or new, Indian or foreign.
You have shot many films in Goa...
Not just in Goa, even the location for all the shoots has been the same, Intercontinental Hotel in South Goa. I love Goa. The staff knows my staff and me well by now. By now, I know which room suits me best.
The staff knows what I eat, when I wake up, and what I need. It's become my second home. There are times when I sleepwalk from one room to another, they all look so familiar. The schedule has been loads of fun, despite the heat.
Having fun on Golmaal 3?
I am having a blast. Mithunda (Chakraborty) was dad's colleague and a senior colleague of mine. He is a livewire on the sets. He's always joking around; he has so many funny anecdotes to share. I've worked with Kareena (Kapoor), Ajay (Devgn), Kunal (Kemmu), Shreyas (Talpade) and Arshad (Warsi) before. Ditto Rohit (Shetty). But I'm just getting to know Ratnaji (Pathak Shah), and she is a delight.
What are your dialogues in the movie?
Aaa ee oo aa. Ooi. (Laughs)
What was that all about?
That is what you'll hear for sure in Golmaal 3. I haven't been given any lines yet, which is not surprising since I still play a 'goonga' (mute). (Smiles) Let's see what the next schedule brings.
What other films are you working on?
Run Bhola Run is ready. Hum Tum Aur Shabana, a Sagar Bellary comedy with Minissha Lamba and Shreyas Talpade, should also release this year. Then, there's Shor, a socially relevant film, and Golmaal 3. My plate is full, and I am grateful for that.
