being single

i loved the part where avantika gives a spiel about being single and how they showed all the different characters in their 'single' spaces... what did you guys think...

She's right, every word she said is what I believe. I also love being single and want to remain single.

It was great because she was saying it to Rohan, who seems to have a problem being single and is always looking out for a relationship, fling, one-night stand, anything...he seemed to have a moment there at the end as she skipped off, and if nothing else, it made him move on. Definitely a lovely arc since it showed a side of Rohan that was more emotionally invested and sensitive than usual.

Something I particularly loved that she said, you have to learn to be happy yourself first and if you aren't happy yourself, a relationship isn't going to make you happy (:

i loved the monologe....so true...spacuially the line.how can you make others happy when you arent happy youreself...very true..the very reason why i myself am single...cos i dont think im in the capacity to keep someone else happy as yet!

Yeah I adored the monologue as I realize being single is not a bad thing. You need to be happy before you can figure out how to make someone else happy. If you are emotionally distressed it is difficult for someone to cure you or to help you unless you want to heal yourself. Now I know to just smile and shake my head if I see my friends and their significant other fighting over little things. When my time comes to be in a relationship, not everything will be perfect, but it will feel right and we both will be happy, because we know what makes us happy. 😃
