MTV VJ in 'Direct Dil Se'

Viveck Vaswani hasn't produced any film for a while now. But the actor turned film-maker is all set to bounce back in the production arena with DIRECT DIL SE. Yes, this one's a love story, but the casting of the film is sure to catch you unaware. Well-known MTV VJ Rannvijay [extremely popular with the youth] will make his debut in this film that will be directed by debutante Nishant Goyal. "I am not scared of new directors," Viveck, who has introduced a number of new names in the past, laughs audibly.

"I wouldn't call DIRECT DIL SE a big film in terms of canvas, but it's the concept that got me hooked," Viveck reveals about the project, "It's a nice, warm, funny film that is set in a college campus somewhere in U.K." He adds that the debutante director had approached him with the script almost two years ago, but since Viveck was preoccupied with Zee then, he decided to wait for a while.

"Similarly, I met Rannvijay almost a year ago and decided to cast him then. He reminds me of Shah Rukh Khan. He may not be one of those muscular types, but he has that charm to sweep anyone off their feet. There's something likeable and charming about him," he states. The filming of DIRECT DIL SE will be held from March 20 to April 20.
