No, I am saying that this is going to be a thoroughly commercial movie and there are greater chances of those being a hit. Also, the last 3 Anees Bazmee comedies were super hits. And that's why she is doing it.

Atleasts there are no hard core fights going on here- so far mild discussions! haha

Just because its a comedy with Akshay Kumar, it does not mean its going to be bad. Of course lately, some of his comedies have not been great, but rather mindless (KI, CC2C, SIK)

But he has given hit comedies like Namestay London, Hera Pheri etc

I think the presumptions being made here are based on Anees Bazmee's track record and not Akshay's.

I think she is trying to find a balance...cause she signed an arthouse project....

ohh.... ok, I hope that's why she chose to do the movie. 😆
But I really dont care abt hit or flop. As long as actor's work is appreciated, that's all it matters to me.

No, no I got that. I meant the presumptions about it being 'mindless' are based on Anees' track record of making 'mindless comedies'.

I just find it amusing that all through out the same Sonam fans would say she is a serious actress and will never do eye-candy roles. Its very obvious as to what ppl expect from an Akshay Kumar multi-starrer. she herself has worked very hard in potraying an image in her interviews as a serious actress.

Im not saying that working in a multi-starrer is wrong, im just saying that criticising it and then working in it is double-standards.

We are also worried what her role is! We expect her movies to have good content and a strong role. Given her statements I am willing to give her benefit of doubt....maybe it has a good role. Anees himself said this movie is slightly different than his last few ones in terms of content. So that's why I said let's not jump into conlcusions. If I consider Anees and Akki's last few films then yes sounds like heroine has nothing to do and it will be a mindless movie! Gives me nightmares!

Maybe now she is trying to break the image of a serious actress? She has realized commercial movies are needed to reach the masses so she is trying to find a balance. Anyways I would still want her to do only movies with good content and good roles...not rubbish crap! But Bollywood mein rehna hai tou "utpatang" film karna parta hai! She realizes and so do we! 😆
