There's something about producer Yash Patnaik that he's not proving to be popular with large creatures. Not too long ago, a camel gave tough time to Patnaik and his crew of Rang badalti odhani. This time, it's a pachyderm that's troubled Patnaik during the shoot of his other show Jamunia.

Soon viewers will get to see the wedding of Jamunia and Jai Thakur. Patnaik left no stone unturned in his bid to make this a grand affair.
The Beyond Dreamz CEO arranged as many as 800 junior artists from Raipur, Kwardha, Vilaspur and Bhilai. Also, the baarat required five white horses and an obnoxious elephant, which was brought from Bilaspur, a good 300 kms away from the location of shoot.

While the other mammals co-operated, the pachyderm (elephants) gave the unit a hard time. The elephant was transported in a truck but mid-way through the journey, the mahouts decided to give the elephant a bath. Surprisingly, the mammal refused to move again after the bath and the crew had to leave it behind.
A second elephant was arranged but he too panicked during the wedding scene unable to bear the noise of firecrackers. As a result, the shoot got delayed further by four hours.

Confirming the news, Patnaik says, "Yes, we did face problem shooting with the elephant. Overall, things panned out smoothly. We arranged for as many as 800 junior artists. It was a real grand affair and one that didn't cost us much. Had we shot the same in Mumbai, we could have easily spent over Rs, 20 lakhs."

Keep watching Jamunia to catch this grand marriage ceremony. Keep watching Imagine TV every Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm

the baarat of JAI THAKUR was really grand
it looked really like thakurs baarat in a village
the ppl in the baarat were real villagers which added more reality to the whole scene !!!

Yes, it was beautifully shot ! Loved the authenticity of the wedding with real villagers, not hired actors😊 The bharaat was very grand!

We ( the viewers of Jamunia) attended the marriage and really enjoyed well. Bodhanji also gave us a feast ( but sweets were prepared with low quality ghee-- knajoos kahi ka).
The dance by Chatori and Batori gave us full entertainment.
