Anushka Sharma is bonding pretty well with newcomer Ranveer Singh, often meeting him discreetly off the sets

She was rumoured to be seeing her Badmaash Company co-star Shahid Kapoor, but even before the film could release, it's all in the distant past for Anushka Sharma.

She's now painting the town red with newcomer Ranveer Singh, who is her co-star in Yash Raj's next, Shaadi Mubarak Ho, directed by debutant Maneesh Sharma.

Anushka and Ranveer spotted together on Saturday night at a suburban caf. Dressed casually in tracks and a tee, Ranveer was having dinner while watching a live cricket match.

A source from the unit reveals, "Both the youngsters, Anushka and Ranveer, hit it off immediately when they met each other on the sets.

The chemistry was clearly evident but most people didn't pay it much attention then. But as shooting progressed, Ranvir and Anushka started spending more and more time together."

The source continues, "Now they are bonding even off sets. They have been catching up for private dinners and outings, even though Ranveer has been given strict instructions by Yash Raj to lie low and not make any public appearance.

They normally keep the meetings very discreet. Ranveer is a very ambitious guy and keeps discussing movies and his career with Anushka. He is very fond of her."

However, Anushka's official spokesperson says, "There is no element of truth in this at all." However, our source maintains that Anushka and Ranveer are very much a couple at the moment.
