Dharmesh :- starting from his audition episode he is doing basically "popping" he does well with beats involving whole body parts legs ,arms ,neck chest , his movements looks very neat clean and crisp but i haven't seen him lying down on his knees while popping as last years prince used to do what dharmesh has done till now is by floor stand only.catching beats is his charm but with lyrics he is bit weak ,even his facial exppressions some times looks weird specially in romantic numbers.

Binny :- Untrained dancer but carries stunts bravely ,it is actually not easy for a girl to do stunts remember khushboo failed to do arial act with duppata last year.i specially appreciate her for doing arial act blind folded and with out harness.but she actually lacks basic technique even doing hip hop.may be due to her short height kind of attitude one should bring she is unable to, her presence looks clumsy in western styles (solo) but she manages with her smile .i find her good in indian numbers.

Amar:- Again untrained dance , low profile , under confident, even he lacks basic technique perhaps this is the reason terence being a choreographer of international level is not trying hands on different styles as he did last year i could only find "pasa doble" and "quick step" for amar in duets this year i was eagrly waiting some thing extra ordinary from terence side but he did disappointed me may be the kind of perfectionist terence himself is ,he under estimates amar.

Shakti :- Tall ,glamorous ,trained dancer tried hands on many things but excelled only in her own genre, she tried even a classical number "roop suhana" but expresions were just killin,g but her expressions other wise is mind blowing if it's about expressions she is one hand winner no doubt about it, she is very sharp.her first solo in beheterien barah from movie "Naach" reminded me of "late Smitha patil" similar kind of act she did in movie "arth" beside sea shore holding a shankh .

Punit :- Trained dancer ,tall, strong guy but totally un utilised i can't find what remo is doing with him he has more power and strength than salman had last year, remo should have started him with stunts but what he has done till now is totally non charming he is the number two winner in field of expressions after shakti, his body is strong but his body language is not at all strong may be he is too much under pressure or what i still can't find what's wrong with him

Amritha :- came to know she is also shown door this girls knew 7-8 folk dances , manipuri classical trained , geeta was foolish enough not to take her in adbhut athara , this girl would have definately put a mile stone for next season she got less time but what ever time she got she squeezed the lemon so hard that rest will have to put all their strngth to get a drop of the juice.

I almost agree with you apart from Amar! What are you saying... terence has experimented quite a time. He make up perform kalaripayattu...... which is such a dance form which trained one also don't dare to do. from aerial act to comtemporary to hiphop to lyrical hiphop, to urban to bhojpuri salsa, Bboying, tango, to bollywood to mayurbhanj Chau etc etc... I think the list is more diverse than any other contestant apart from amrita. And he always performed well.

Punit showed a lot of promise in early stage but he lost his way some where.

But I am getting feeling dance really doesn't matter in votes. what matters is how you look, what background you have and whether you are bengali, gujrati etc. don't you also feel so from voting trends? Otherwise POTD person will always be number 1 next week.

nice post! =]
and here are my views and feelings on the top 6 contestants:
Shakti - I first noticed Shakti during the mega auditions, I thought her solo on "I'm a sexy mama" was probably the best during the mega auditions, and right after that solo, she gave a mindblowing duet performance along with Amar, on Khuda Jaaney right in the first episode, and since then Shakti has never really disappointed me. Infact, she has surprised me by how good she actually is. She has the physique, looks, and expressions of a star and I especially like the sharpness in her moves. She does everything with so much ease, clarity and perfection and I connect with her performances! Again, I've read alot abt ppl questioning her versitality, but to me, as long as the performance is entertaining, I don't rlly mind her doing the same styles! as long as it doesn't get boring!!
Amar - I did not pay any attention to him during the auditions, it was the duet on Khuda jaane that rlly made me notice this guy. Shakti & Amar is one pair that I love when they are on stage, but I agree that Amar did get overshadowed by Shakti. It wasn't until his solo on "Kahin to hogi woh" that truly made me his fan! and after that, he also hasn't disappointed me. He has tried so many different things and has shown tremendous improvement in a short time frame! Just like Shakti, Amar also does every style with so much ease, clarity and smoothness, and that's the main thing I look for in a dancer. the performance should look natural. it shouldn't look like as if u r "trying" to get the steps right. and that's another reason I connect with Amar's performances bcz he makes them look effortless!
Amrita - ahh, another one of my favourites! I love her attitude and her stage presence. I noticed her in the mega auditions and she looked a quiet and reserved girl, but man was I surprised when I saw her in WC. According to me, she deserved to be in top 18, instead of Teena and Shruti, but oh well, talent speaks for itself. Amrita reached top 6, whereas, Teena and Shruti could not even survive for long. I just hope she improves on her expressions for soft songs, otherwise her expressions are bang on for agressive songs. Whenever she's on stage, it looks like she's enjoying herself, and that makes me enjoy her performances! and Just like Amar, she has attempted many different styles and excelled in all! u go girl! 👍🏼
Dharmesh - I first noticed him and loved him during auditions, I thought he was an amazing dancer. But, as the show progressed, the likeness started to go away for 2 reasons: 1) I didn't like his performances in other styles 😕 I mean he went so unnoticed in the trio salsa, and I just didn't conect with him when he attempted other styles (2) the love story drama that was created around him. it use to get on my nerves and I hated all that and I'm SO happy that they have ended the drama! but still, I can't seem to like Dharmesh as much as I liked him earlier in the auditions =/ for him, I would say I'm neutral as of now, but I just LOVE him when he does his own style!
Binny - I noticed her in the auditions after they showed her video on how she wasn't selected last season, but to be honest, since the very beginning, I have found her to be an average dancer. Nothing about her dance stands out! I agree with the topic starter that she is good in Indian styles and I really liked some her performances in Indian style, for example, "O re piya", 5 different calssical styles, and "bolna halke halke" with Amar, but she fails miserably when she attempts western styles! u can make out that she is untrained bcz that sharpness, that clarity, and that perfection is missing in the steps, and I just don't like her expressions anymore. It seems like she has that smile on her face no matter what the demand of the song is.
Punit - Punit has not impressed me with any of his performances! I just don't connect with him =/ His performances look unorganized at times. By that I mean too much going on in a performance and the whole concept is not clear, and his steps lacks the perfection and clarity! He always seems underprepared =/ Plus, I just don't like his expressions. I haven't rlly seen him giving soft expressions or doing soft movements, they always seem loud and dramatic! again, no offence to Punit fans, I'm just explaining y I don't like his performances or connect with him!

If I had to comment, I'd copy paste this. Peace, those are EXACTLY my views too! 😳

However, I just feel a tad bit different about Punit. Or at least, did earlier on until recently. He really isn't as good enough as I thought he was. One week he impresses me, and then the next week it's just in vain again. Even in contemporary, I thought he might be just mind blowing, since he's trained with Shakti under Terence. And then, I saw Amar performing all those contemporary acts and was left aghast. That guy is AWESOME! I like watching him so much more than I like watching Punit. And I wouldn't have said it a few weeks back perhaps, mind you! 😉

Kunwar really is THE star of the show amongst the boys. Amongst the girls, I always thought Amrita was better by a tiny edge than Shakti, since she's so well trained and has that do-or-die passion for dance. But now that she's gone, Shakti all the way for me! 😛
